I found this in my local paper while looking for auctions:
"Learn eBay from region's #1 eBay Seller; guaranteed results XXX-XXX-XXXX
The News Subclassification: Auction Sales 12/29/2002"
I'm tempted to call and see what's up but I don't want my number on his caller ID. Is there any way to search and find my "regions #1 seller" ????

here in SC - last weekend a woman posted the same type ad, almost identical. She also provided her email address and seller id. She went on and on in the ad about what a seasoned professional she was; upon checking her feedback, she had less than 100.
I called and talked with her - she sounded just like an audiobook! LOL I asked her if she had multiple id's since her feedback was so low, and she responded that she spent sooooo much time researching and helping everyone else, she "just doesn't have time" to sell more...
go figure

LOL, Its so much easier to sell "how to" booklets. I see a lot of these kind of offers around. The last guy claimed that he was such a expert on ebay that I checked him out, he only had 29 feedback and 10 auctions in the last 6 months.
You gotta love it!

Can't believe I left this part out - and it's the best part.....
she also sells Mary Kay and a vitamin supplement line of which I can't recall the name. Tried to pitch me on those, as well!

I googled him on six reverse look ups. Nothing. I'm going to call from a pay phone tomorrow. I'll let you all know what I find out.

you can use "*67" you'll get a message that your number was blocked then dial, save yourself a trip to a pay phone, do they still make pay phones? they are hard to find when you need one!

When you call him, he'll probably offer to sell you a book he has written for $25.00. When you order it, you will get a 1 page handwritten note that says " Read the AuctionWatch message boards ".
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

My Opinion is that "it's a waste of time expecting someone to show you how to do better on Ebay"...........the bottom line will be they are trying to sell you something that can be gotten FREE either Right here in auction Watch, or anywhere on the Computer, If you just search around All your Questions will be answered.
Just post your questions on this board and you will have the best of the best.........giving you advice and helping you with anything you need..........
Plus, dealing with someone who can as they say......"Show you the way".......well, that is only one mind thinking.....but here you have many minds thinking and offering advise.
Trust me, We are all standing by waiting to offer our opinions, and support.
Most people are thinking of ways to make a few extra $$$$, so be careful.

I called and got an answering machine. It sounds like a scam to me. Lots of silly promises about "secret" ways to make big $$$.
It didn't provide an ID so who knows if this really is a seller. The way I figure it, if you're a genuine powerseller, you are probably too busy to mess with this kind of thing.

JUST TYPE THE AREA CODE AND NUMBER IN THE SEARCH AND IT MAY COME UP WITH A NAME AND ADDRESS.

If Google doesn't turn up anything then google the phrase "reverse look up". There are plenty free services for this.
