Received the following email:

Subject : Please Confirm Your Acount
 
Date :  Fri, 17 Jan 2003 02:43:32 -0800 (PST)

Due to our hard protection against fraud on our community, we need you to confirm your account on eBay. We also take this action because you are a valuable member and the safety of your information is important to us.
Please confirm your account here: http://www.auctions-safeharbor.info/merchant.accounts/Confirm.htm. Please note that, if the confirmation will be successfull, your username and password will remain unchanged.

I send an email to [email protected], asking them if that was their email or a scam to capture my password.

Notice that the hyperlink does not contain "ebay.com" as the main domain. Also notice the spelling of Acount and successfull

Have anyone else received such email?

Those e-mails are all scams and come in various forms NEVER click on the links provided and NEVER enter any information. Just delete

Thank you, I had a feeling it was a scam, because of the address of the hyperlink.

If you leave both fields BLANK and click on continue is says "Your Account Is Valid!"


geez.......gimmie a break
