... has kept all information of everything you did on eBay on all users since 1995, AND they will give this information WITHOUT A SUBPOENA to anyone who claims to be a law enforcement officer !!!!!!

Anyone just has to win one of my auctions to find out my name, address and phone number. It is very easy to use software to track activity on ebay, since it is all done in public. I know of one website that does this, they can tell anyone who wants to know what I have purchased, what I have sold, etc. This is really a non-issue.

It is a huge isuue. There is a great differencee between limited information about business associations and government information gathering. Paypal information is now in the equation too.
This is all information, not just your name and address. If you have made any private adult purchases, at any time on eBay, they can have the information.
If you bought or sold something 5 years ago from someone under investigation, they can get all information about you.

I guess I am not worried because I go under the assumption that anything I do online is trackable. Even my credit card numbers, which I really don't care about since they are protected. The only time my number was taken was in a conventional way, probably at a restaurant or gas station or something like that. There are a lot of things to worry about, and some things that are not worth worrying about. I bet the net impact of people buying on ebay is about 0%
