My widget closed today. A bidder with a zero feedback outbidded a bidder with 40 plus hour before auction ends. The winner does a checkout, so far no problem. then I het this nasty email from the 2nd bidder...

----------------
Can't wait to see the feedback you and **** leave for each other. Right!
You will be watched for future shill bidding practices. EBAY WATCHDOG
-----------------------

Uh, just what is he talking about?? Should I be worried? I can ask the winner to email him, but I dont want to bother the winner over this. Any advice would help. thanks!

there is nothing for you to be worried about. there are always bidders who are sore losers and think they should win every bid they make. do not bother your high bidder with this garbage and do not answer their email, just delete it and go on.

I agree. I have had that happen to good, repeat customers. I am always scared they are going to think it is a shill. Hopefully they know better. I would ignore the guy/gal or you can report them to Ebay for the email.

Think about it, though. If you HAD been shilling with the 0 feedback bidder, he would have LOST the auction. Shillers have no intention of winning an auction, their purpose is to inflate the winning bid.

You've got nothing to worry about.

def keep the email though if they act up again - its not a bad idea to keep a 'nasty comments' folder for that kind of mail.

Ignore and block.

Sounds unanimous, doesn't it?
