I was told when I purchased this bracelet it was a WWI Charm bracelet. On it are what I think are miniature service awards. I have been searching all afternoon but I can't find any information. Please take a look at the bracelet and tell me anything you know about it. Oh yes tomii they are guns.

Thanks twelvepole I searched all afternoon and didn't find that one. Great website. Don't you think the pistol one matches the last one on the bottom of the page? It seems like the other match for WWI. They are bronze. and very dainty. Thanks again.

The pistol charm depects, the 1911 model .45 colt automatic, which was used by armed forces during WW1 and up until the 1970's I believe. The rifle charm is the model 03-A3 Springfield which was WW1 issue and used until it was replaced by the Garand sometime in the WW2 era, not sure of the year. The other charms are basic award pins issued to Army soldiers. I would guess that the other two charms might be unit pins. My service days were over many years ago, but I would guess that this these same charms are sold on or near military bases today. They might be gold, gold plate, or colored pot metal. I would be hesitant to advertise it as an authentic WW1 piece with out more research.

alldings, the .45 was used through the 80's in some parts of the military and although the gun was used in WWI that particular badge was not issued until 1958... I wasn't very clear on that...
