Hi,

Wanted to share that I have 2 different buyers {different ebay IDs} Both have purchased the SAME item {different auctions} SAME day, and BOTH have the same street address and city, state and zipcode, listed on my checkout for the auction. Just a different name.and different phone numbers

BOTH will be paying threw bidpay,

Buyer #1 has paid threw bidpay, but gave them a different "ship to street address".feedback of 3, signed up 2-19-03, no negs.

Buyer #2 has not yet paid, but plans to threw bidpay.Wanted to make sure he had the "insurance" amount correct ?? feedback of 69 signed up 3-29-00, no negs

I have NEVER in the 4 yrs of selling had 2 buyers with the same item / nor at the same time going to the same address ???

No they have not asked for combine shipping, when I offer it.

To me this is a red flag.. Am I wrong in my thinking....I have sent a note to bidpay.... At this point,, I am not going to do any thing, and wait to hear back from bidpay...

Your comments please.

I would wait for the bidpay checks to arrive and clear the bank. I would also be suspicious of anything going to Indonesia or Romania or any high risk country. If they both pay, send to both. They could be in a relationship and buying gifts for eachother and not know they are both using you...

wrightsracing,

Just a possibility.... ever consider that one of them could be a college student? Bidder #1 could be the parents.... while bidder #2 could be the student. They would naturally both have the same contact information (because the students permanent address would be his home (the parents) address). However, the student would want it shipped to his college address. Just a thought! Regardless... the bidpay money orders are good-as-gold. So I wouldn't worry much!

Maybe it's sort of like that older eBay commercial, where one guy bought something on ebay off his wife [unknowingly]... in your case perhaps two people in same family bought something for a loved one ... ya just never know .... ... ... but yeah, if they both do Bidpay, what the heck.

I'm thinking there's probably a good story here. Like some guy sees his wife checking your auction and buys the item as a surprise gift and meanwhile the wife bids on a separate auction of yours for the same item? The catch is she thinks he wanted it because she noticed him checking it out intently over her shoulder. Now neither one of them really wants it but they have two on the way.

Next month they'll be a set of two up for auction. You'll buy them cause the price is right and you remember selling two previously. Of course you know you can always sell two more. When you relist, the couple above (now remembering a humorous purchase from several months back) bid thinking gag gift........

I actually have seen a commercial where the wife lists a Tifanny-style lamp that she has had for years. The husband, cruising an online auction site at the office, sees the auction listing, and realizes it is just like the one his wife has had for years. He plans to surprise her with a matching one. He bids and wins the auction and pays.

He comes home later very satisfied with himself and sees her counting a handful of cash and realizes he bought it from his own wife. The next scene is him at his desk at work, and the lamp has replaced his desk lamp.

I don't remember what product the commercial was for.

I don't know what you are selling them, but maybe they each want their own!

If you sell underwear it's possible they don't want to share!

The mailbox outlet I deal with has about 300 Ebay customers and they are not all scammers.
I have never heard of anyone being stiffed by Bidpay. Bidpay has no chargebacks...They tell you the money order is in the mail and it's like money in the bank.

I heard back from bidpay last night, they said to tell ech buyer that I would have to send to bid pay address...

Update... buyer #1 did pay threw bidpay.. and I have recieved the money order from bid pay.. they said the cash it.. and ship the item... after my 2nd email letting them know...

that buyer #2 paid with a postal money order threw the mail..

So both paid with secure funds.. and I will be shipping to them tomarrow.. all worked out for the good.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and your help.... Good Night.. have a great week....
