Does anyone know a good website that has Dr. Pepper bottle dates? I looked yesterday and couldn't come up with one that shows the bottle I have. The Dr. Pepper Musuem didn't have it and I emailed them with pics but no word. I will try to post the pics so if any experts out there can maybe tell me.
Thanks!

Sorry, I have never dated a Dr. Pepper bottle, so I can't help you. But I know some people who have. My mom always told me to stay away from those types....I never listened though....and look where it got me!

I found that site and it had great pictures of bottles but not this one. I don't know if this one is that rare that there aren't any around or what. I have to find out if it is a common one or what before I list it though. It apparently isn't too common or I would have found one on the sites I found yesterday.

Brings to mind a scene from the movie:
"My Life As A Dog,"
during which, one boy...

One of Ralphie's fave flicks, btw!

Looks to be mid-1920s or early 1930s. Definitely machine-made, likely not terribly rare, possibly $10-$15 range, though I am no expert on Dr Pepper specifically.

This may sound crazy but try contacting the bottler? A lot of companies have someone that is an expert in their history - they may be able to help you.

I remember reading a story of two bikers out on a ride in the country that stopped to take a break on the side of a road and got into a coversation with the farmer who owned the property. He had been a bike enthuisast in his youth and after a couple hours of story telling he gifted the bikers with an old Harley that had been in his barn for decades. The new owners were having a hell of a time identifying the year and model of the bike so they contacted Harley Davidson. Harley was not only able to identify the bikefor them as one a very few that were custom made for the Virgina State police when they decided to add motorcycle cops, but they assisted in the resporation free of charge in exchange for being able to occasionally borrow the bike for special displays in their museum.

I would also suggest sending an email to the guy who has the web page in Twelvepole's link above. It looks like he's a long time collector who's done his homework. If you go to the home page of that site, there's a link to his email address.

This is really funny! I was sure, from the title of this thread, that we were going to get an Entirely Different Conversation. Relieved to see that it was a straight question, although ambiguously worded. . . .

Twelvepole-----

I took Sparkz advice and emailed the guy at the website you suggested.

The guy said it is a "flavor" bottle. It was a strawberry, orange etc. was on the bottle cap. They sell for about $15. So much for being rare.

Thanks again guys!

PS. Some of you need to get your mind out of the gutter. I'll be sure to word the topic ? different in the future.

WOW
That would be cool if Dr Pepper helped restore your bottle and you let them use it in the Dr. Pepper Museum!
