yep. It's great if you only need Priority Mail and Express mail. No extra charges, free Delivery Confirmation.

Only problem is no regular mail.

I ship almost everything Priority Mail unless a customer asks for regular mail. I sell mostly old and fine jewelry. I love the site. I print my postage and label and get free delivery confirmation. Just drop the box in the mailbox and I'm on my way.

So ... what if you make an error in weighing the package... do they send it back to you? Send you a bill? charge your customer?

What if your scale is accurate, and theirs isn't? (Yep, I've seen it!!)

If it is under on postage they will send it back to you. Then the delivery conformation # show Delivered to you.

Of course it could be like my mail man and he didn't even tell me that a package was returned to me. I didn't know until the buyer asked what was going on. They brought the package back to me today after I complained.

How do you print free delivery confirmation from the usps site? Didn't know you could do that from there.

The delivery confirmation prints out on the label. Since Priority mail goes by the exact pound (i.e., under 1 lb $3.85, etc.) I don't really worry about the scale thing. Sometimes if my scale shows it's only one or two ounces from the next rate, I use that rate. Better safe than sorry.

I send everything with a eDC but I don't use the site for postage just the label. It works out great for me.

You can also download (for free) shipping assistant 2.2, where you can print out labels with electronic delivery confirmation for all classes of mail. It is free for Priority, it costs 13 cents for the rest (instead of 55 cents they will charge you at the post office) - Every domestic package I send out is sent with DC now, and since I have started doing that last year, I have had a total of zero packages that I have had not delivered. I also am shipping a lot more packages than I was a year ago, more on the order of 500-800 per month. Before that, I seemed to run into delivery problems at least 1 or 2 per month. Interesting? The only thing the program won't do is print labels for postage, but I use real stamps anyway so that works out just fine for me...

Use both the sn site postage & SA for a while, too slow & clumsy to use for more that one or two shipments.

Gave it up & went to Endicia....Only way to print your own postage & the stealth feature rocks.

Breaking out an old post here.

When using an online service, whether it be Endicia, Stamps or the USPS site, what are the benefits? Can you avoid the lines at the post office? Or do you still have to wait to hand the package to the clerk?

For just the DC label without buying postage use this USPS webpage.

"Only problem is no regular mail."

As Pierre would say " "It's only 13 cents"
