Anyone have a clue what this vintage "Handy Things" kitchen thingy is? It has a long green enamel handle attached to a second green piece that has a circular section with ridges. Attached to the top handle is a silver dodad that has a circular metal piece attached to the bottom...This whole section swings. Any info is, as usual, greatly appreciated.

Looks like PART of a potato ricer. Should have a cylinder with sieve like holes in the bottom for the plunger to work in.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

definitely the top part of a potato ricer...i have the whole thing and still use it on occasion.

Thanks all...obviously, the thingy has seen a lot of use so apparently the bottom of it got lost somewhere...
