RANT ALERT

Got an email from a buyer two days ago that he had not yet recieved his order. I pulled up his DC number, went to USPS site and sent him the info that it came back with .... the package was in the midwest. Yesterday ... same thing... OK, the package is in the northeast, one state away. Today he again emails me - where is my package.?

Look you brain dead idiotchild I have sent you the damn tracking number twice.... look it up yourself. I'm not the freaking post office and once I hand it over to them I have ZERO control over its rate of travel. Complain to the postage gods but leave me the hell alone.

OK, rant over .... Have a nice day

Oh yes, they like you to hold their hands. People are strange, yet its so easy for them to look it up themselves. Hang in there.

Congratulations, neonmania, you're starting to sound like me.

Of course now you're going to catch hell from the customer service ninnies.

I think USPS must be sending far more parcels by truck and train these days, as I've seen delivery times s-t-r-e-t-c-h. Used to be 3 - 7 days for first class, now 7 - 10 is more the norm.

And if ONE MORE PERSON says "It shouldn't take long to arrive because we're in the same state" I'm going to show up at their house, pry the keyboard out of their fingers, and use it for batting practice.

Actually, with the price of gasoline these days and the fact that (in their eyes) postage is so cheap they've gone back to Phoney Express (yes, I did deliberately spell Pony wrong). I had a parcel post take 10 days to get from Cleveland to Columbus. I can make that drive in 3 hours or less.

Fluffy - if you only knew. I try very hard to fight my natural CS instinct to tell everyone to go suck an egg. I like the keyboard idea.

Back when everyone complained by phone I dreamed of having a button on my phone that when pressed would send a Dr Phibes like spike shooting out of the earpiece of the callers phone - the concept gave me enough of a giggle that I was able to refrain from telling people to call back when their IQ exceeded 75.

Neon,
You did more than I would have. After the first time I would have ignored the idiot.

Just when you think things are going smoothly, an idiot buyer will come along and stir things up. There's customer service and then there's being a doormat.

I'll just close by saying that I hate people who buy very old glass and then take a 10X jewelry loupe to it.

I had a great one today, they gave me a whole paragraph of instructions as to how to pack their item. First it must be wrapped and then it must be padded just so...ect,ect,ect. If they read feedback they could see a lot of people think I KNOW how to pack all ready. I'm gonna wrap her item in her instructions! Then I will pack it the way I always do and it will get there fine.

Actually delivery times for USPS SHOULD start decreasing. Read an article the other day where USPS has been given permission to start using the airlines again for transporting the mail.

We'll see

Neon, sometimes I too cannot resist the temptation & fire off a nastygram response to those idiotic "Where is it" emails.
