Tiny molded plastic pieces...

From what Ihave learned here on this subject - fruit salad does not have to be fruit but it does have to be translucent or transparent.

With all the listings on eBay that aren't fruit salad I don't know why he can't list it as such. I wouldn't list it in the title but something in the description. I pulled up descriptions last night that had nothing to do with a catagory so what is wrong with him saying something on this order. "I know this is not fruit salad but an adorable collectible plastic fruit bracelet from the 60's. It was the designers that started this fruit salad but I still don't understand when a simple colored rhinestone pin is considered this.

I started out collecting plastic from the 60's and they really made some cute things.

Libra

I don't think anyone told him he cannot. However, it would be misleading and there have been a lot of complaints on this board about doing a search and coming upon something you weren't searching for. IMO it's a matter of integrity.

How about: "Fruit Compote?"

or

"Tutti-Fruitti ala Rootie?"

or even...

I didn't say list it in the title as I know it would be missleading but if he puts it in the description about fruit that would not be misleading. If I had that bracelet I would list it as fruit bracelet in the plastic catagory. Is it on memory wire or on elastic thread? It also be listed in vintage because it is probably 40 years old.
The fruit really looks shinny you are sure it is plastic?

If you look closely you can see some mold marks. Definately use the word "fruit" in the title. How about Vintage Fruit Bracelet-Good Enough for A Salad? Might be too many words, but you get the idea. I get what you meant Libra. He can use both words in the title without making it sound like it's a fruit salad bracelet.

Sounds good to me. If you put the words fruit jewelry in the search and then search titles and descriptions anything with fruit will come up including jewelry and other stuff. Good Luck Tom. Now is your bracelet an eleastic bracelet or one on a wire? If it is one on a wire besure to include that in your listing. If your married maybe use your wifes arm to show it off. I don't think Ralphie's will do the trick to hairy.

It just can't be fruit salad--no tiny marshmallows. And where's the sour cream, anyway?
