I decided to list a few things on ioffer today, and they have a feature called Mr Grabber that will transfer auctions and rating from eBay etc. I downloaded it, but then got worried because I am not sure that eBay approves of ratings being transfered from them to another auction site. Does anyone have any information on this? Has anyone used Mr Grabber?

It’s your feedback and your items, you should be able to do what you want with them. Can anybody think of one good reason why you shouldn’t be allowed to do this. I can’t think of one. MSN8 has a tool like Mr. Grabber that lets you transfer from AOL to MSN.

I worked hard to keep my customers happy to earn my rating. I compromised even when I knew I was right to make the buyer happy. As far as I’m concerned I’ve paid for my rating many times over. Ebay has no right to tell me what I can and can’t do with my reputation. Ebay didn’t help me pack the items, ebay didn’t help me carry the boxes to UPS, when UPS was slow during the anthrax scare ebay didn’t answer my customers emails, where was ebay when I had a non-paying bidder. What ebay did do was provide a venue for me to sell my things and for that they have been paid, and paid well. My rating is my rating, I earned it.

Mr. Grabber works great and screw ebay. They will not do anything unless you put the www.feedbacksite.com link in your ebay auction ( a related feedback sharing site owned by Bidville Auction ). Thousands of sellers on Bidville and other sites use the feedbacksite.com info and ebay will not do anything as long as it is not on their site. Ebay can not police their own illegal auctions yet alone dedicate resources for this petty matter.

You can even drag your auctions over there, like things you have 100's of an relist over and over on bay. Unfortunately don't plan on selling anything there. Those over and over and over items I just spoke of that sell on e bay over and over and over every week, in 7 months NOT one! has EVER sold there. e bay! the ONLY way.

Last time I listed on ebay, I put up 50 items and sold 2. I don't know what you sell JACK but it didn't work out for me. I sell computer equipment and cannot compete with IBM and Dell. Actually I take that back I may be able to compete with dell take a look at their rating http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=dell_outlet My point being that when I started on ebay almost 5 years ago it truly was a level playing field. Now you have mega-corps there with special rules and pages for them. Why are Dell, IBM and Disney allowed to have multiple accounts and able to continue doing business with attrocious feedback. Is ebay going to say something to them if they contact a previous customer. I think not. I used to have a lot of admiration for the “idea of ebay”, but then they just became one big greedy corporation. It’s funny how they’ve posted a profit every quarter and have continued to raise fees. I will not support any type of monopoly at any cost. I will sell elsewhere and have been. If your items didn’t sell JACK continue at it or you will be at ebay’s mercy. What if they make a mega deal with a huge company that sells what you sell. I first started using ebay because I was trying to get away from IBM and Disney now it seems they are the only game in town, just look at their front page.
