I have a buyer who wants to buy an expensive camera from me but he wants to use bidpay. Bidpay insists that it be an auction item. It seems silly to pay listing fees and closing fees when I already have a buyer. What is the cheapest auction site I can post this on?

Try payingfast.com

It's just like Bidpay, but without the auction requirement. They send guaranteed money orders just like Bidpay.

You might try listing on eBay with low starting price and high BIN and email link to the buyer..of course you would still have FVF to deal with..only way to get around those would be to put bulk of the $ in shipping/handling but I guess that isn't kosher.

Yahoo's fees are way cheaper than ebay's fees. Wait for your buyer to bid then close the auction. If a miracle occurs and another bidder bids then cancel that bid.
