Could you explain a little more of your problem to us, please? Is it that everytime you move around on the internet, you lose your ebay cookie and have to re-register? Or something else?

You should never save a password on your computer.

I don't believe XP has a way of just saving a password, but as roadsmith said, would need more information

I have XP and don't have to use a password for anything. IE automatically asks if I want to save a password, which I don't. Twelve is right. Storing passwords on your computer is not a good idea. I know that it's annoying having to type them in, but better safe than sorry. I have a small filling box on my desk where I keep my passwords and also be sure to change them regularly. I usually change mine when I change the time on the clocks.
