I had a Bidpay money order charged back against my bank account a few months ago.
Apparently my bank didn't like the color of it and kicked it back.
We got it redeposited after the bank was convinced of their error. No big deal as it was only $30.00.
Today I had to deposit one for $275.00 and I don't feel like I can use the funds until it has had time to clear? My bank was no help at all?
Can these money order be cashed anywhere that can't be returned or do I just need a new bank?
Thanks

My items are shipped as soon as I get the Bidpay confirmation.
I thought Mom & Pop got out of the banking business ages ago. If your bank doesn't know what a Westren Union money order is I suggest you keep your balance there between $1 & $5.

You need a new bank. Yours sucks. These are as good as cash.

But never send an item until the money order is in your hand. Never send the item on the confirmation e-mail. There have been scam bidpay e-mails going around lately stating the payments are confirmed only to be fraudulant. Accept them, just don't send the merchandise until payment is physically in hand.

Bidpay had a problem recently when their printer made a typo on the routing number on a batch of money orders. They emailed every recipient of money orders in this group of the problem and made good on all the fees charged if the orders bounced. They had less than half a dozen that actually bounced, all on local regional banks, before they got the problem corrected by having the incorrect routing number validated in their name. I received two of these "bad" money orders, but my bank sent them through anyway. They considered it a normal everyday snag that happens in any line of business. Apparently, no one at your bank knows how to use a computer or a telephone. Have you checked on your account balance lately? Monday morning would be a good time to go shopping for a new bank. Be sure to choose one that can help you with problems like wire transfers, currency conversion and other odd problems that posters to this board have encountered in the past.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

THERE IS A BANK ON EVERY CORNER. Dump yours and tell them way.

To the person who said: "...don't send on the confirmation email," because of fraudulent emails. I send when I get the email confirmation, but I also log on to bidpay to check my account, just to be doubly sure that the payment was confirmed. Couldn't you catch phony emails that way?
