if they have received your payment? I purchased a rather large item, paid over $600.00. Paid immediately after the auction. I have not received any contact from her to say she has received the money, is shipping...or anything. It has been 6 days. I always email my buyers after I have received payment to tell them their item is being sent.
I don't want to bug this person, just never had anyone receive a large sum of money and not acknowledge it. Help?

On a $600.00 payment you aren't being unreasonable to email the seller requesting them to acknowledge receipt of the payment. Even a phone call to the seller wouldn't be unreasonable.

check her feedback to see if she is a fast shipper .also if she is selling many items, she may just assume you know item is on its way.
but u said 6 days have past, you should email or call her.

How did you pay her? Money order, Personal Check, PayPal. Read her TOS and see if she holds purchase to see if personal check was good. But, in the mean time I would email her or call her because that is to large of an amount to not acknowledge. I would think next time before bidding on any of her items.

I paid her immediately with Paypal. I think its weird not to acknowledge it also. Thanks.

Ask for the tracking number as well. This seller must be a power seller. It is in the powerseller code of ethics to not e-mail when payment is received or item shipped. That needs to change.

Update....11 days later I receive this reply,
"Whoa! I didn't see your payment. Thank you so much for pointing it out to me. I get in a lot of payments and this was about six pages back and I just missed the ship action somehow. I'll send out your tracking number asap!"
Now, come on, this is over $600.00. Do you really not know when you receive a payment like that? I know that I'll never do business with her again. Just lost a good customer.
BTW, I still have not received a tracking number.

How sloppy! I'd demand a tracking number. PayPal requires a signature confirmation on a purchase that big and you'll need to have someone available to sign.

And I'd take a look and see what she's sold that makes $600 a pittance.

if you want to be nasty, you can file complaint with paypal-
paypal expects seller to ship promptly, defined as within 7 days after payment received.
if you complain, paypal may lock up her account and ask her to prove tracking and signature.

Stopwhining is correct. You should file with PP just to cover your a**. It's not nasty, just protecting your investment. And I would tell the seller that.

Please keep us posted.

I don't know if I would be so quick in contacting paypal and locking up the sellers account. Granted she should have shipped by now and provided you with a tracking number, etc. - but you have another 2 weeks to file with paypal. I always thought paypal would lock the account of the buyer too. Everyone makes mistakes.

paypal would not lock buyer account in this case unless she files chargeback with cc after 30 days.
paypal would lock seller account for this kind of money to protect itself.
it sounds like the seller does not have the item on hand when payment was received.

I just received a tracking number from her. Of course, it just says that you have to check back, it cannot track it now. I'll keep you updated.
I will not contact Paypal as of now. I know people can make mistakes, but gee, golly wilikers...that a bundle to "miss". Sorry, I am a seller and know I'd never miss even a small amount.

I agree - I can't imagine missing any amount of a payment let alone one that big, contacting paypal just seemed like it was going to bring you more trouble than it's worth (unless it gets close to the 30 day limit - then I wouldn't hesitate). I certainly wouldn't leave positive feedback, though. Hope it arrives soon for you - good luck
