Is anyone having problems with Bidpay. I had the first email for one payment last week, but the second has never arrived. Another buyer wrote and said that they had paid, but it has never appeared in my account, no emails, and they say that after 5 days it still says "pending" in their account. When I went to Bidpay to check on their payment, I found one that I had no idea had been paid, no emails from that one either.

Go to "other online auctions" for an answer.

As with PayPal, etc, you cannot depend on the emails -- you should check status of orders by registering with BidPay, although they claim it is NOT necessary, I always DO!

If the MO is still pending, that means their CC didn't work for some reason which ain't yer problem!

I can find nothing about it on "other auctions" dacreson, Bidpay is not an auction site. I thought that the buyers CC was checked after you got the first email, that is what the second confirmation shows that the payment is o.k. Am I the only one having problems?

Hello
Sorry you are quite right of course I saw Bidville.

I also do not depend on e-mails even from Pay Pal been burnt to many times. I go from transfer to account to transfer account and verify all payments have been acted upon. You would think buyer would holler but some never do? Odd.

I have listed Bid Pay for a long time and only been paid twice in two years. I quite even offering it.

Other reply sound correct, likely a unaccepted payment.

Good luck

I received idpay payments on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and they came through with no problems. On one of them the first email was sent twice for some reason, but the confirmation came through properly.

I found a phone number for Bidpay. You can contact them at 1-800-350-5952 for live customer service, also try 303-488-8000 and they might help too.

::If the MO is still pending, that means their CC didn't work for some reason which ain't yer problem! ::

This is so incorrect it is absurd. Every BidPay transaction is personally checked to be sure that winning bidder matches up to Payee, amount being paid at least resembles the final amount of the auction, that the seller has not been suspended in the meantime, and in the event of a large volume of sales in a short period of time, that the seller has feedback that implies a level of legitimacy. With the Holiday buying rush they are getting SLAMMED with orders wihich would cause a backlog under the best of siuations. Add to that the matter of increased incidents of fraudulent card use and they have now had to add more checks and balances.

A Pending status has absolutely nothing to do with the users credit card - if there is a problem with the card, the charge flat out denies. Pending only means they have not gotten to it yet.

I was calling every day to put a push on different orders that had been pending a lease 2 days then decided to try PayingFast.com.

DO NOT SEND INTERNATIONAL BUYERS THERE. At least not if you want them to pay and bid again. Asking someone to fax copies of their drivers license and credit card overseas is amateur hour and yet that is what they did to EVERY SINGLE ONE of my international buyers.

Out of sheer embarassment I consented to accepting PayPal payments from these people so that I can get their orders shipped in time.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

I have never had that happen with BidPay--they've never asked for my buyers to do anything like that. Never had any hold-ups either. And I've had 4 foreign buyers use it in the past week...

Bunni - never had it happen with BidPay either - it was PayingFast.com that pulled that stunt. I'll never use their name in another email to a buyer again.I may have lost one buyer to their hoops since their request seems so absurd and more than a little hinky that the bidder is backing off from sending payment.
