Would you bid if auction said this:

"Shipping is roughly 5-8 pounds within the uk and 20-25 pounds rest of the world."

hahaha.....The wording is enough to make a buyer feel really dumb.

Somehow there is considerable weight gain when on it's way to the US? We are, afterall, the most overweight nation in the world.

Think maybe it's a money term?

yes its pounds sterling-right now the going rate is $1.70 for one pound sterling to the U.S.dollar ,and it changes almost daily, but not that much. The item is obviously from the United Kingdom and most everyone knows their currency is pounds sterling.Since the rate went from 5-8 pounds in the U.K. to 20-25 pounds outside the country, common sense would dictate they were referring to currency and not weight.Of course I did use the term "common sense"

I guess if I want a substantial weight loss I must go to the UK. It's quite obvious this seller doesn't want to send to the good old USA.

It's quite obvious the seller is not talking about weight but instead about shipping costs in British currency terms.

I bet they heard our Post Office breaks stuff and they have to use a lot more packaging materials.

I am surprised they do not say anything about charging more for the extra packaging.

Maybe it's the British version of " S/H within the US is $3.50 and shipping to Canada is $20 " phrase.
