Every night before I go to bed I say my prayers and thank the good Lord for not letting me kill some of the idiots I run across on eBay.

For example:

I sold a book to a newbie (9 fb's) on 10-14-03. She paid through Paypal on 10-19-03. I shipped the book media mail as stated in my tos on 10-20-03. Guess what I get today!! A NEG from the buyer. She states that she paid right away and did not receive her book. First of all she took 5 days to pay and second I emailed her on the 20th to let her know her book had been shipped.

She only allows 2 days for media mail??

It must be brain damage - I can't come up with any other reason for some of the people I come across.

Thanks for allowing me to vent!!!

We can't get rid of the idiots, there more of them than we who are sane. We just have go forward without losing our cool. Maybe you can appeal the neg & get it remoced.

Some sellers mention media mail as taking up to 2 weeks for delivery or more in their auctions to avoid confusion. I dont think alot of people have a clue about that, they just expect regular (like 1st class) delivery.

Its unfortunate sellers have to pay the price of newbies sticking their foot in their mouths when they dont really know what they are doing.

I got my 1 neg from a buyer who gave me the wrong address.Thank God I had sent it with DC on it-After 4 days he emailed once a day to find out where his tape was.I said hold on for a day or 2 and I will check with the PO.That same that same night I had a neg for not getting his tape. When I checked with the with the website they informed me the tape was undeliverable.I emailed him and told what they said and the address he gave me.I get the reply "opps sorry" of course this was after he gave me the neg.

Speaking of idiots....
Here's an email I got this morning from a 0 feedback, new buyer...

"Hi,
I purchsed the following item on ebay from you. Please let me know if you will receive payment from ebay, or I need to send you payment, and how.

Thanks,
xxxxxxxx"

Gee, I sure wish eBay paid for all my stuff I buy.

Follow up!! You're going to love this!!!

The buyer emailed me and stated that they had "FINALLY" received the item from me this morning in the mail. Now remember I shipped media mail on the 20th - Damn good I'd say.

It gets even better - In the email the buyer states that in ebays TV commercials they say that you bid on the item and it goes out right away. Obviously I, as a seller actually expect to receive payment prior to shipping the item. eBay does not say on their TV commercials that payment must be received prior to shipment.

This person says they have run into a lot of people like me who go against ebay rules by refusing to ship item immediately. I looked up their buying history and they are giving out negatives due to slow shipping and refusing to live up to ebay rules.

Needless to say I turned them in to ebay for being a complete moron and they are on my blocked list forever plus several days!! I also left them a return neg for being a complete and total idiot (normally don't do that but I couldn't resist).

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

How about the guy who called the phone company to complain that his name was spelled wrong in the directory? They promised to fix it. The next day he calls back to say he looked in the book again and it was still spelled wrong.

I got a neg 4 days after auction end with buyer saying I never contacted him/her about paying. This was after numerous bounced emails, which are still bouncing today.

Ebay did not see fit to remove feedback although this situation does meet their requirements for such.
