Here in Central Ca it's twenty degrees cooler today than it was yesterday. There's rain predicted for tomorrow. Just hope it keeps moving further south.

San Jacinto Mountains (no fires but scared!)--much much colder today at 6,000 feet, dense fog, then a little drizzle. A man reported happily and loudly to all of us at the P.O. that it's snowing on Black Mountain (nearby), and we all cheered. Let's hope. . . .

It was a short lived rain for us downtown but since we so rarely get any it was a good sign. What are usually small showers for us are usually decent storms for the hills. I've been away from news sources all day so I'm waiting to hear what they have to say.

Today 5 Air Force planes flew over,,,,Big stuff,, C-17, KC-135, C-141's,,,,,those refulers, KC-135's especially,,,,I remember these HUGE Black Bladder bags of Gasoline lying on the ground in Vietnam. Stretched 20 feet wide? 3 feet high. 80 foot long.......I know we all think of the Gasoline tankers going down the roads as the fuel touching the double liner of the "aluminum",,,,,,Air Force can install a liner to haul what ever liquid they want,,,,,,,WATER!!!!!! or the fire retardent red materials.......I hope,,,,,,,that is their plan,,,,,50 thousand gallons? Those Marine CH-46'ses,and CH-53's are picking up only 4000 gallons.....per scoop....Salute to the Marines.....Air Force has the BIG stuff!!!!!! Hooooooooorah!!!!!!! Air Force.

When any Recruit is sworn into Military Service they give an Oath,,To Protect this Land from Foreign OR Domestic......This fire IS Domestic!!!!!!! and is just as Evil as any invading Country. Why the Federal Government drags their feet to protect the very citizens right here is waaaaaaaaay beyond my thinking. They,,,,,,,, can set up a full scale WAR on Foriegn soil in 3 weeks and takes WAY To much time to react right here at home. Homeland Security? Where are YOU!!!!!!!!! There is a Frigging HUGE Fire!!!!!!!!
