Hi, all: I have a great book of paintings made in 1873, reprinted in 1978. Gorgeous full-color garden flowers, 120 pp.
Cannot for the life of me figure out what category or categories to list this in. Nothing seems to fit well. Gardening? Art? Maybe even decoupage or crafts, although I'd hate to do that.
Any advice?

I think Art would be the place but if you find a very catchy Title to absorb all the things you want to say that should bring bidders to your auction.
Catagory ??
Book ~ Beautiful Victorian Art of Garden Flowers
well I think you might get the idea. That's a tough one.

Sounds like a beautiful book. I know it has been said here before but I think most searching now is done by keyword so the catagory is less important. Are all the paintings by the same artist or are there multiple artists? The name of the artist (or some of the artists) in your description and some scans of the showiest pictures should work.
Have you found this reprint on used.addall.com? I know most of their prices are higher than eBay will get but the description might help to place it.
Good luck with the listing.

The asking price on book sites isn't very much, but they're not using pictures either.
This book is called Victorian Flower Album, by Henry Terry. All the pictures are by him, and they are just gorgeous. I'm using at least 7 or 8 in the auction itself.
