Email one, 10/22/03:

(in response to EOA)
I lost my password for ebay so I can not access my account info.

Email two, 10/24/03:

I will send your payment on Monday. I am out of town on business and I did not think I would win this item. But as soon as I get back to the office I will make sure that I take care of this.

Please respond....Thank You

Email three, 10/27/03:

Unfortunately, something came up where I will not be able to complete this transaction. There was a tragic accident that involved one of my close friends and he passed. I am out of town flying to Texas now to be with the family. Taking into consideration my obligations with you, I will not be able to fulfill. I have to help with arrangements in Texas. Please, with all the confusion, please do not put a non-payer bidding warning on me. Sometimes incidents do occur. As you see I always pay my auctions on time all the time. Its just that this one something is a life/death situation. Please forgive me. Please respond. Between today and tomorrow I will be landing in Texas.

All this fancy footwork to get out of paying 53 cents.

But hey, never let it be said that I don't accommodate reasonable requests to respond to email.

Since you wanted to know whether or not I bought this story, here's your response: I don't.

53 cents? For as long as it took to write all these emails, he/she could have put the money in an envelope and had it to you by now.

For crying out loud...

I think this buyer wins this month's moron award. I suppose there are no post offices in Texas from which to mail $.53?

I've been very, very lucky with my buyers lately. For a short time I had multiple problems, but they've seem to drop off.

Haha Fluffy, thanks for the laugh. I assume not only will she be landing in Texas but also NPB Land.

You say .53 cents, but was that the total with shipping??

Fluffy, thanks for the chuckle. I assume not only will she be landing in Texas but finding herself landing in NPB Land as well?

You say .53 cents, but was that the total with shipping?? If she had to get a MO then that would cost her another dollar, and I could understand welshing on that...(NOT!) hahaha.........

Nah, that was exclusive of shipping.

NPB'd her you bet.

Someday, one of these clowns is going to write and tell me how I've turned their life around by making them accountable for their actions. Then she'll go on to invent a new floor wax or a cure for psoriasis.

Slap me, I have to wake up now.
