I have a LOT of my 20 yr. old daughter's clothing that she has lost interest in and want to put it on ebay. It's mostly good brands like A&F, American Eagle, etc.

Question 1: Are people buying this now for decent prices?

Question 2: Do I have to iron all of it to get pretty pix without wrinkles, or just picture it as is?

Question 3: How important is it not to put warm weather clothes up this time of year? I figure much of the country can still be warm in winter.

Thanks for all help with this. I am clueless about selling anything but books.

Hi!
Some lots do very well!
I recommend at least pressing over the worst of the lot!
Don't fold the items except for a group shot.
You could group tops, skirts, pants, etc. separately for individual shots.
Buyers need to see the whole piece.
Make sure to measure and list any flaws!
If you have more than 10 items, it should do fairly well.
Start the bid low and you'll get more bids!
Good Luck!

You asked the question are people paying decent prices and the answer for me is no. You can only get out of it what a person is willing to pay for it. Of course you have some name brand items and if they are in good condition lots are good. With name brand items if buyers are interested the size labeled in the garmet should be good enough. Good Luck....One more thing you might think of a garage sale catering to the young crowd.

clothing at a garage sale is a complete waste of time....they will buy used on ebay and not look at clothes at a yard sale. if they do look, they won't pay more than a dollar or two per item.

another important factor is size...if it is a plus size or hard to find size...my cousin wears a 0...then they can fetch new or over new price

if the clothes are nice and in good condition and your pictures are good, you should do well.

I sold 5 pair of my sons levis that were too small, and made enough to buy him 3 new pair...I thought that was pretty good...

and much better than selling at a yard sale for $1.00 a pair.
