Hi all!!

I usually spell women's clothing designers with an asterisk (example: J.C.P*enny) so that the eBay police won't yank my auctions, but I have noticed that recently, Sellers were spelling the names right out. Could somebody tell me which is the right way (so it won't get pulled) to list the names???

Thanks in advance!!

I am confused...
Can't you put the name of an item you are selling in the auction?
I am selling three ann taylor skirts and not a problem.
I think, if I read the rules correctly, you aren't supposed to spam your auctions with names that don't relate to what you are selling:
For example if I listed "Miyuki Delicas" if I was only selling "Matsuno" beads.

Hi Lucy,

I'm kinda puzzled... Not sure what your question is.

Why would your auctions get yanked? Are the clothing designer names not the same as what you're listing?

If I have an authentic Chanel scarf and put Chanel in the title I don't see a problem.

OTOH, if I have a no-name scarf and list it as Chanel, in the title OR in the description, there are a couple of legitimate reasons for eBay to close it down.

First, counterfeit goods, which will get the VERO people on your case and quick.
Second, keyword spamming.

I think she is talking about the Vero Program. I doubt if J.C.Penny is on it as they sell so many items and I doubt if they are counterfeit. It's Hermes that Vero's many scarfs as they are duplicated and not real. Gucci is on the Vero program also but since you have the certificate of authenticity they won't vero that. When I sold Versace I bought it new and when I put it up for auction I said I purchased it. I kept receipts. I don't sell Versace anymore. I don't know where it is on eBay but there is a vero list. Speaking of Vero someone is taking Shabby Chic to court saying that they can't vero that.
