Apparently there was a shoplifting ring who'd steal items from stores, return them for merchandise credit and then sell the credit certificates online for roughly 75 cents on the dollar. Wouldn't you get suspicious why someone had so many different store credits and yet would sell them each at a loss of 25% or more?? Over 500 times?? Buyers better hope they don't come after them for receiving stolen property

I wonder if these fine greedy folks who left feedback could be prosecuted for receiving stolen goods?

Karbunara, the alleged ring leader, was ordered held on $25,000 cash bail, while Macy was ordered held on $200 bail and Holland was released on personal recognizance.

What they don't mention is that Karbunara tried to pay his bail with a Wal-mart gift card.

My iMac has had a brain barf since I upgraded to OSX.
Sigh, sometimes it works others it does not.
However, they could emulate the UD board or even OTWA's (sans the image heavy loading on that board!)

Dadofstickboy--that was very funny! You're a clever one.

The name of the ringleader of that troop of thieves sounds an awful lot like a pasta dish.

Here's a list of all their recent auctions. I went through and pulled out all the names of the buyers and am putting them on my blocked bidder list.

Greed, greed, greed.

I think the people who bought those cards will get a rude awakening when they try to use them.

From reading some feed back appears some had no problem using them. ALMOST like they KNEW and were quite pleasantly surprised that they were able to use them.

::I think the people who bought those cards will get a rude awakening when they try to use them.::

Why? Do you have any idea how much effort it would take for these companies to link a mass of false ID to purchases then submit them to the third cparty company that is dealing with the card then provide that company with justification for the removal and refunding of card balances? Not even close to being worth the effort.

Why do you think that they do not guarantee the security or safety of the cards? Retailers do not manage their cards.
