Hello; I am deeply concerned that on the one hand ebay recognizes me as a powerseller (who also has 100% positive feedback) and that as a result of a dramatic increase in sales of "buy it now" electric scooters paypal would in fact deem that to be suspicious activity that has caused them to close all the paypal accounts that I am associated with. I have submitted the documents requested by paypal to paypal. This action by paypal has greatly affected in a negative manner my ability to conduct business because since I cannot access over $10,000 of monies in the account--I cannot pay for the product that people are ordering. I order from a dropshipper and the dropshipper ships the product upon payment. Since this action by paypal against my account I have received positive feedback on the very items that I am selling. I find this to be an inexcusable improper action by payal on my ability to do abay the way that I haver been doing. My request is that you would somehow immediately intervene in this matter. So that on Monday morning I can conduct business as usual.

Can't see how buy it nows would cause paypal to restrict your account, there must be more to this story. Why do you have $10k+ in your paypal account?

I don't think there is anyone here who can intervene in your behalf. I remember reading that there used to be someone from PayPal who read this board but I have never seen him/her since I started participating.

Have you tried to get PS support to intervene in your behalf?I think eBay has a PayPal community board..maybe PP staff hang out there.

The person your looking for is:
Paypal Damon.
He can now be found on the Ebay boards.
When Ebay took over Paypal they moved him closer to home!

Unfortunately right now the fraud occurances are high and PayPal is locking up accounts left and right that show unusually high activity. Apparently the fact that during this particular period people buy more, sellers sell more and thusly earn more is being ignored. I'd love to know what the formula they are using to determine the unusually high activity critia is right now considering the high percentage of holiday shopping being done on ebay is.

I wish you luck in getting this cleared up quickly but unfortunately this forum will not be of much help to you. I would advise getting on the phones with PayPal first thing monday morning, confirm that all information has been recieved and do all possible to expedite the review. Remember to be polite while being insistant - right now the last thing you want to do is piss someone off and have your case dropped to the bottom of what is probably long and growing list.

BTW - you might want to see if your drop shipper can fax you some type of statement showing your activity with them and account status so that you have that at the ready to send to PayPal as proof of your access to the high ticket items and payment history on the is. You may not need it but it certainly can't hurt to have it and to offer to send it to them

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

this is not the first time someone comes to this board on their paypal account restricted and so not able to pay their dropshipper.
if you cant pay your dropshipper,he wont ship and your buyer will file paypal complaint and then paypal would restrict your account longer.
how long have you been on ebay and paypal??
if you are selling high dollar high volume items on ebay,it is always good to have a backup say propay or your own merchant account.
good luck and better act fast.
paypal may be open 7 days a week, see if you can call them today.
-sig file -------The thrill is gone!!

you need to write to the New York Attorney General, Elliot Spitzer. He has already prosecuted PAYPAL at one point, and his office needs to know about other incidences. address is 120 Broadway, NYC
