Hello,
This morning I got the following email from safe harbor.

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due to the violation of our site policy below:

Interfering with eBay's site and/or operations - The deliberate use of any device, software, routine, or activity to interfere or attempt to interfere with any of eBay's operations.

Due to the suspension of this account, please be advised you are prohibited from using eBay in any way including registering a new account.

Please note that any seller fees due to eBay will immediately become due and payable. eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method currently on file.

I honestly don't know what it means. I looked around the ebay help section and it wasn't that helpful.

I have been selling on ebay for about 6 months and have never interfered with ebay's operation. In fact I have never really had any problem with ebay aside from a few crazy bidders. Even then, I don't get into debates or inult wars. I just leave appropriate feedback and move on.

Could any of you be a little more specific on what intefering with ebay's operations mean?

Thank You

That rule can cover a multitude of sins. It could be because you are using unauthorized Javascript in your auctions or something not correctly set up, such as a counter or wrong format images. You need to contact them directly to get the specifics.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Fierce: Do you have any phone numbers for Ebay? If not, we can give them to you. I would definitely call them and not rely on emails (if you've done so).

The $$$Million question is : Were your auctions pulled and is your account suspended. If the answer to either of those 2 questions is NO then your account might be selling Plasma TVs shortly.
You might have fallen for a spoof email.

Use the ebay live help. It takes a while to get connected to a person but they can straighten it out right away or tell you what you did.

Roadsmith: I would appreciate the phone numbers for ebay.

Horsey88: At first I did think it was a spoof. I am actually suspended and my auctions were ended.

Whatnot3: I used live help and he referred me to the contact form.

It is really frustrating that it is so difficult to get in contact with anyone about this.

Thanks for the help.

Since you won't give us your eBay seller id (like what are we going to do, trash your auctions?), how do you expect an educated guess?

Fierce: Here are the most recent phone numbers I have for Ebay:

1-800-322-9266
1-888-7493229
408-558-7400

I've never had to call them, but someone here on Vendio posted these about a half year ago. Good luck to you.

Fluffs right again.

It's easy to get suspended on ebay but usually it takes repeat violations or a very serious violation ( such as selling body parts ). Were there any VERO warnings? Wrong category warnings? Illegal links warnings. There are a lot of triggers that can earn you the boot other than not paying Meg her money.

i can think of one auction interference-that a person contacts another person who is bidding on an auction saying hey this seller is a jerk, her stuff are trash etc etc/

Probably if they give more of an explination of what they sell and how they put their auctions on someone could be of more help. I think when we come in here to post it is difficult to explain what has happened and difficult to get our thoughts together. I know I have problems sometimes.

Feedback, SW, feedback. There will be auctions accessible in feedback.

Also, the OP said his auctions were ended, not removed.

Based on what the lett that ebay sent states, I don't think that it has anything to do with feedback or Vero violations. Instead it states

[i[Interfering with eBay's site and/or operations - The deliberate use of any device, software, routine, or activity to interfere or attempt to interfere with any of eBay's operations. [/i]

That sounds more like you have added someones free something or other script and that is the offending entity.

As for the use of looking at auctions... the ones ebay ended I think will show as invalid however auctions that ended prior to the suspension will be viewable and a simple "view source" command should help find the offending code without problem.

You can get this warning if you are bidding on another sellers items then retracting the bids. Or more specifically, bidding on the same items that you are selling to defer others to your own auctions. Have you been doing this?

I must have missed the post where someone asked for my seller id. Please point it out to me.

I did not get any warnings about anything and all of my fees were paid. No body part sales either ( I need my fingers to type ).

It is hard to get eveything in at once. I was trying to keep it brief and not hog the board.

I sell new apparel. I take my own photos and I use sparedollar to list.

I don't sell that much on ebay. I buy more than sell. I began buying on ebay long before I started selling anything.

I had not listed in a while, but all of my auctions were ended about a day after I listed them.

I have never retracted a bid on anything.

I would never interfere with another seller's auctions. I have bid on apparel, but nothing new. I always bid on vintage items and it has been a while since I did that. I always pay promptly.

Thanks for the input and allowing me to sound off. It helps.

I am going out on a limb here....

Have you ever turned someone in for claiming to be an ebay employee?

There was a discussion about this a few years back on a board.

A seller claimed that she got the same vague "interfering with ebay" suspension. She inquired as to the reason why and support told her it was for falsely reporting that someone claimed to be an ebay member.

It seems that she had reported a few people over the years for claiming to be ebay employees. Most of them were eventually suspended. She said that after her suspension she noticed that all of them had been reinstated as users. She claimed that she never falsly reported anyone.

I don't remember all of the details. She was reinstated though.

I will try to see if I can find the link for this. I had it bookmarked on one of my old computers.

Good Luck

Under "fiercecreature" in the dictionary, it says this:

Timewaster.

Given there's a lack of any corroborating information about your account, I now assume you richly deserve being booted off eBay.

Buh-bye. Don't let the screen door, etc.

It's easy to get suspended and not know why.

Example:
There were a large number of suspensions over the old BaconButtie imbedded script because some sellers didn't read message boards to see that they needed to modify their scripts.

Have you tried the ebay Live online help or the phone numbers?

Grumpyebayer, was correct. I was out of town for a day and came back to an email that said:

Your account was suspended for you falsifying emails from other members in an attempt to get them suspended.

I am beyond angry. I have never falsified any emails from anyone.

The last user that I reported was suspended. She is once again happily bidding and causing problems. I think she is the one that claimed I falsified the email.

She claimed the be an ebay employee in SEVERAL emails to me. She even sent me an email after my suspension that said:

I TOLD YOU I WORK FOR EBAY AND WOULD GET YOU SUSPENDED B*TCH!!!! HA HA HA!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS SL*T!

(I added the stars to pass censors.)

She has been sending my buyers emails claiming that she works for ebay and that I sold them stolen goods. She even told one to do a reversal with paypal (the buyer didn't, she notified me).

She is also a user that was previously suspended under another account. I got the heads up about this from another seller. I checked my records and sure enough she paid from the paypal account of a non-registered user that had quite a few negatives for non payment.

I am beginning to think that she does work for ebay. I have my own webhosting and it is easily proved that she sent me the emails. Ebay never asked for any proof. They just suspended me.

Thanks for all of the help.

Please include the HEADERS from the supposed email from eBay explaining your suspension.

(Oh, sure, you can mask your email address.)

Otherwise, it's all just hearsay.

Horsey88 you made me laugh.

She has several ids that she has used to email my customers. I have decided to make my feedback private until this is sorted out.

Well if ebay does read these boards as some claim, Clayton will be mighty embarrassed. That post is a cut and paste of the email. Bad grammar and all.
