Ok I am mad this morning. Last week bidder refuses to pay. Did not like shipping charges (clearly listed in auction). So I relist and block. So I restarted the auction and they bid and won with another user id (same last name- area)(this time they were the only bid and got it for less) So now they think they are smug. They promptly paid via paypal.

What would you do?

If you know for a fact that it's the same person, refund their money on principle.

While you block by userid, the principle is that you're blocking the bidder. As such, you are well within your rights to cancel that transaction.

*IF* they want, you could still let them uphold the original auction terms. But in no way would I send it to them for the lower amount.

Yeah, I will take whatever welts come along and refund. I found there is also a place to report to Ebay blocked bidders who use another id. Well I guess I will wait to relist!

Tis the season for the %^^@@ to come out!

Ebay should help you get this bidder suspended and no feedbacks will be left against you. That is if everything is as you posted.

There was a recent web article about ebay where it said that every single thing on ebay has always been recorded and saved since day one. That includes logging IP addresses.

I prefer to report the bad email addresses instantly and let the buyer undo the mess if or when ebay NARU's them. I bet after they go through all of those hoops they learn to update their damn email info.
