One of my auctions closed and the high bidder was from Russia. My auction clearly states that I will ship to the US and Canada. What do I do now??? He doesn't want to pay via Paypal or Money order. Just what other payment options are there?
Do I have to follow through with this sale?
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

He could pay with U. S. dollars (if he can get them). You don't have to sell to him, since you specify the countries to which you will ship. Is this a large $$ amount?

It's a digital camera. The Final sale price was $285.00. I'm worried that it might get lost/stolen/damaged being shipped halfway around the world and I don't want this sale to go bad.
I'm very frustrated since this is the second time I sold this item. First time was a NPB. I filed NPB and got FVF credit, then re-listed item.
What recourse do I have on ebay? Can I cancel the sale and go with the next highest bidder?

Forgot to mention... Not only is he from Russia, but he is a newbie with 0 feedback.
My gut tells me this will not go well.

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't go through with this sale. You are not obligated, since your terms state your shipping parameters. I would either go with the "second offer" to the runner-up, or file for your fees. As long as you go through eBay for the sale to the runner-up, you should be okay. I would also e-mail the Russian bidder and gently explain. Hope his English is good!

If you do go ahead with the sale, I would insist on Bidpay, (or whatever it is called now), and not mail until the money order arrives. I would also explain that you cannot be responsible for loss or breakage, because you had not agreed to sell outside of North America, and get an email from him saying that he takes full responsibility for loss or breakage. Not sure how that holds up legally, but it's something I have done when an Internationally buyer doesn't want to take insurance.

may be he has a cousin in wisconsin??
or try wiretransfer,once money is landed in your account,there is no way it can be taken back from you.

Speaking of wire transfer (Western Union, I assume?): In another thread I was concerned about a sale to France. She chose to use a wire transfer but someone had told me here that I only have two days or so to pick up the money, and it's down the mountain 30 miles on icy roads. No way will I do that. (And of course I hadn't specified wire transfer as a payment type for international buyers!)
I e-mailed the buyer, and she wrote back today that Western Union told her I have until October 2004 to pick up the payment. I"m going to call today at that 30-mile-away office and verify that. I'll post here when I find out.

i am referring to bank wiretransfer,not western union money order.
however,western union money order can be picked up at any western union office,but if you have to drive 30 miles,better to call the office first ,you need a code which your buyer will tell you and your photo id,you have a choice of cash or check.

Lets see
A) He bid on an item where you said no International buyers.
B) He does not want to use the payments methods you accept.
C) He has 0 feedback.
Not good. He is already wasting time because he wants to decide how he is paying. I would email him stating that I will not ship this item internationally. Then try the 2nd chance offer or file FVF and move on.

Second Chance offers have a very low success rate in general. Get you money back from ebay and relist.
