Hi,
I have to come to the best boards for help with this. We are receiving thousands of emails from a spammer and I'm not totally sure what to do. I have never had this happen before. I have blocked sender, but I still receive them in my deleted box. I have reported the spam to americtech. I believe that is where they are originating. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks!

Beats me, but after reading your posting, Ralphie has decided that you really need either:

1) 4000 hits of VIAGRA...
/or/
2) A nice new SECOND MORTGAGE!

Kindly send him yer email address & he'll be sure ya get ALL the necessary info!

This is where you can report if you get over run by one or a thousand spams.

I'm going to bring this subject back up (briefly) because it's a PAIN in the behind!

Lately one of my email addresses has gotten on a spam list that won't quit. I downloaded and ran Spamfighter, but I don't see where they've done much good other than to send the emails to my spam mailbox.

As was suggested above, the best thing you can do is take the time and the trouble to report your emails to SpamCop. I finally got tired of the emails and started taking the time (& trouble) to cut and paste and sign up for the SpamCop website, and report the emails. They seem to put a stop to emails faster than anything/anyone else I have seen.

They somehow have the ability to put a complete halt to the origin of the email's provider ability to send the emails. (as all of mine were the same emails with different senders)

The interesting thing I found out along the way was:

ROKSO collates information and evidence on known hard-line spam operations that have been terminated by a minimum of 3 consecutive Internet Service Providers for serious spam offenses.

200 Known Spam Operations are responsible for 90% of your spam.

90% of spam received by Internet users in North America and Europe can be traced via redirects, hosting locations, domains and aliases, to a hard-core group of just 200 known spam outfits, almost all of whom are listed here in the ROKSO database and are operating illegally. These professional spammers are loosely grouped into gangs ("spam gangs" ) and move from network to network seeking out Internet Service Providers ("ISPs" ) known for lax enforcing of anti-spam policies.

Thanks so much Trai for this address....I never knew it existed. I, too, have been hit in the last two weeks with hundreds of spam messages. I joined up right away...hope it works!
