I have a ceramic souvenier mug (shaped like a beer stein ) from New York city. On it is depicted the statue of liberty, empire state buidling and the world trade center. It's marked ENCO NAT'L CORP 1978 On the bottom, it says Made in Japan. Is it ok to sell this kind of thing on ebay or is it still forbidden? Is this worth trying to sell or should I just dump it.

Paloma, did you do a search on WTC, or world trade center/twin towers? I wouldn't think there'd be anything wrong with selling it. As time goes on, many will want such souveniers with the WTC because it's no longer there! It was a big part of lower manhattan.

I have a miniture of the WTC that I bought as a souvenier in April of 01 when I was in NYC. I haD
d surgery on 9-10-01. The next morning the orderly came in to take my roomate for X-ray & told us what was going on. I will never sell my souvenier.

The street vendors in NYC are all selling shirts, photos and drawings that have images of the skyline with and without the Twin Towers. There is a market for them!
It's things, like actual relics, that were taken from the site, that there is a (justifiablely so) fury about.

Sanmar, what a story! Yes, don't sell your treasure. I did do a search before I posted here. I just wanted to make sure.

Actually your item never was forbidden as it is not directly something from 9-11. As long as you don't promote it as a 9/11 item, it is legal.
