What's your opinion Gallery on top of listing or under listing?
Thanks

i would think you should try it both ways, take a look, and see what your gut feeling is, as to how your listing looks, overall.

I'm putting it within the description itself, after all the usual stuff. I think it'll be seen more easily there.

I hope I don't sound too stupid but how do you do that? With copy and paste?

not stupid ... no question is stupid [ok... some of 'em are, but vendio's gallery is new ] ....

yes i believe you copy and paste the gallery into your vendio template ... that is how i understand it from reading vendio community boards at Vendio Services ... maybe go there to find relative postings and read more ...

edited to correct my stupid spelling

you understand what i mean? ... it is a different section of the vendio community postings ... i have seen quite a few postings down there regarding your exact question ... where you copy paste some html into your vendio listing, and paste it exactly where you want it to be. ?

dang~ ... had to edit again to spell the SAME word correctly .... "paste" ..

sorry ... i'm feeble

There was an issue discussed in this forum not long ago, about eBay only including so many characters into a listing in their search engine.

I wonder if you put all the code that it takes to run the gallery, at the top of your listing, if it might affect peoples ability to search for words in your description.

Junebug: I agree that no question is stupid!!!
Lord knows I ask enough of them myself. . . .

Here's what I did today: I signed up for the Vendio Gallery, went through all the steps to choose elements of it, as they prompted.

There is a spot in that prompting that gives you a choice of the gallery at the top or end of your listing, OR to copy it and paste it wherever you want it. They even tell you to click IN THE BOX of html for the gallery pictures, which will copy the whole shebang.

I did that; I copied it in that manner, then went to my file where I keep all the stuff I copy and paste into my auction descriptions (shipping details, etc.) and pasted it in there WHERE I WANTED IT.

I cannot believe that I figured that out, technophobe that I am.

Now to see if it worked! (I'm listing, to start this Sunday evening.) Has anyone done this and been successful? Please let us know.

Another reason that you may want to insert Vendio Gallery into the description of your auction is that you can use different themes in different auctions.

I copied each of the formats to a file using notebook. I named the file slot.txt and so on. Then I just copy the contents and insert it into my auction when I set it up.

I always put it at the end of my listings. Just before they insert “Ships only to the USA”

Then when a customer looks at my different auctions they get to play with different galleries.
