wrightsracing	posted on May 11, 2004 06:47:34 PM new I have set up a new email acct. Problem is I'm not smart enough to figure out what the mail settings should be POP3 STML ???? All I want to do is get mail and send mail on my new acct... Help Please... A big Help... A big thank you to all.
glassgrl	posted on May 11, 2004 06:55:20 PM new big guess here...since you are asking this question I'm assuming you have cable modem and not something like AOL? mine is mail.myserver.net smtp.myserver.net insert whoever/whatever you're using for myserver the dot's stay where they are - for example: mail.AOL.net smtp.AOL.net also, you will have to sign into your server (whoever they are) and add your email accounts there. Then you will also have to go into "TOOLS" "ACCOUNTS" (highlight your account(s)) "PROPERTIES" and under "GENERAL" check the box that says "include this account when receiving mail or syncronizing" I'll be online for a little while, let me know if you still need help. dadofstickboy	posted on May 11, 2004 07:00:52 PM new You should be able to go to OE. Click on tools. Click on account. Click on mail. Add new. You should'nt need the POP or STML numbers.
glassgrl	posted on May 11, 2004 07:09:51 PM new he doesn't need numbers! but if he has cable modem and a server then he will have to configure his account. BTW if you go to your server and read the FAQ's I'm sure they will have it written out there on how to set up your email. I know mine does.
Libra63	posted on May 11, 2004 07:46:20 PM new The only reason you use POP3 is if you want to access our account from a different email address, I think. Anything I want to do or know I call my ISP for technical help. I guess that is what we pay them for besides hooking to the internet. They are very useful and I am thankful they are there.
