I am searching for a self adhesive photo inkjet paper. Something that I can print my photos on and peel off the backing to stick.
Does this exist?

Maggie: I'm curious how you're going to use that paper, having never even heard of such paper. Is it for your Ebay selling or something else entirely?

Hi Roadsmith, I am going to try to make personalized charms, for the popular Italian charm bracelets. I have seen them on Ebay. You take a photo of what ever you like, shrink it down to fit on the 9mm charm, then stick it to the charm and use a clear coat compound to seal it. So, I thought that if I could use self adhesive photo paper, that would save me from having to glue the photos onto the charm... I still have to figure out how to shrink the photos down to the 8 X 5 mm size without distorting the photos to badly.. wish me luck!

Hi Maggie,

Sound like a fun project!

Another possibility for adhering the photos to the charms is double-stick tape. Might save having to get a different kind of photo paper.

As far as shrinking the picture, maybe the index print that comes with pictures printed commercially would be the right size?? I've seen ads where you take in your disc and they print your photos for you.

I just got through making some teeny tiny budweiser cans for a Tonka Camper I'm going to list...(shades of Addicted to Ebay Barbie)

I just reduced them down to what size I needed. The problem was getting the printer in just the right alignment to print clearly. Reducing the picture is a snap.

Hi Lucy,
Thank you for the good ideas! I have been working with my Photoshop software trying to size the photos down to 8 X 5 mm... but not having much success. Photoshop only gives me the option of using inches or centimeters, so after doing the math...10 mm = 1 cm... I end up with something like 0.5 cm x 0.8 cm but they are to distorted.. I will need a huge magnifying glass too, because I am going blind working with these teeny tiny things! Someone just emailed to tell me not to use the self-adhesive paper. She said to use a special glue, because the sticky back paper isn't permanent and will lift...
Just heard from glassgrl... I never gave that a thought! I will try to fine tune the printer, rather than trying to manipulate the photo.. Thanks so much again for all the good advice! Maggie

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements and I'm sure it's about the same thing as the regular Photoshop.

How I did it is make sure you have the constrain proportions checked, and then I just did Image size .5 .6 etc until I got it the right size. I only deal in inches.

Oh...I also just checked the first box - the width - and let Adobe figure out the second box - the height. I think I also bumped up the resolution too (more pixels per inch although when you get that small I don't know if it made any difference)

he's just got this "look" on his face that is diabolical. and Mrs. Tonka didn't have any panties on. I'm still looking for a box of Viagra to copy

glassgrl.. That look says it all! LOL.. Great Job! Thank you again, I wasn't checking the constrain proportions box, and great idea to only check the width and let Adobe figure the rest out.. maybe that is why the proportions were off.. Back to the drawing board! Maggie

He couldn't believe I'd spent a couple of hours making teeny tiny beer cans..........
