Anyone up to lunch? in that beautiful Towpath canal town on 303?... Cheryl cblev and I corresponded a little bit yesterday about meeting up for some eBay commiserating, er, um, I mean consorting, oh no, that's not it either... cavoriting!? Yah!, let's do THAT Cheryl. ....

Her boyfriend Ken likes to bike the trail there... wondering if any of you others that hang out in this forum would like to join us?... it would be a lot of fun to put some faces to the names, and of course we might actually make some nice acquaintances!... really great antique shops and artsy shops there too, (or are they arsy shops? LOL), as well as 2 nice restaurants "Winking Lizard" and "Fishers"...

Tentatively 1st weekend June looks good for us... please chime in or email if you'd like to try and meet up too!

Might be fun to get away from the daily grind, that is eBay.

Looks like we may cancel our bike trip to the Tow path tomorrow. I understand they may have to close it due to flooding. I'm still on for lunch, though! Hopefully we'll have an end to the rain by then. I cannot keep bailing out my basement.

Cheryl, sure hope you didn't go to that valley last evening! ... wow the incredible storms that rolled across Ohio were really awful ... I was driving through it sweatin' bullets, all the way to a cabin in southern ohio with my sister ... just got home from that overnite trip outta town and it seems my printer is now kaput, probably zapped out during the power outages and surges. Dang it!!!!

Oh well, the sun is shining today.

OMG! I was compaining because it was 85 and I had to put on the air conditioning today. I don't know if I could handle "bailing out my basement" in May (or any other time for that matter)...I have been too spoiled in California with the weather, the roads, the access to mountains, beaches, bike trails, malls, medical treatment and employment centers. But as far as I know, we don't have a "Winking Lizard" restaurant! I just love that name!

Estatesalestuff-It isn't over yet. We are having the same storms in Wisconsin. Didn't lose anything this time, yet, but our last storm I lost my modom as it went through our electrical system. I notice when I turned on my TV we are in a flash flood watch for the 3rd day in a row. so watch out it will be coming your way. It's unbelieveable how much rain we have had.

Minnie and Libra, yes a few days in a row now, and i just heard we're getting slammed again within the next fews hours... our basement floor is all wet, but at least our drain is keeping up with it so far.

Yah, The Winking Lizard. It's a neat place in a really awesome little town along the Erie Canal.

I barely made it in my door from work last night. It was an awesome sight watching this thing roll in. I've never seen anything quite like it! It was sunny one minute and black as night the next. You could literally see the storm come in. It's 88 here today which, for those you who don't know the weather in this part of the country, is far too warm. That's more like late August weather. It will cause more storms. We just cannot take anymore water! We've put the Towpath bike ride off until tomorrow. Hopefully, that won't be a washout (no pun intended).
