I didn't want to distract from the other thread, and I know there have been multiple threads on the ID subject, but since myoldtoy asked why, I thought I would continue the discussion here.

I started selling in 1998 and used my own name as a seller ID (not very creative) I soon changed the name to something that matched the old stuff I was selling and went on along my way for two years.

Then, I decided I was selling some items that were just too heavy to ship internationally so I took out a second ID for USA sales only. I later decided not to ship anything but postcards internationally so I didn't use the second one for several years. Glad I kept it though because now I am selling some older items I don't want to accept PP on and I use that ID for those.

Along with the items I sold under the first ID I also sold a whole bunch of postcards. I then decided to just start a 3rd ID for postcards only.

Now, I have a seller ID for just no Paypal, one for everything I can find to sell, and one for postcards.

As far as keeping them straight goes...I have 3 copies of auctionsage on my computer and each is named for each Ebay ID. It keeps the inventory, emailing etc separate.

Ebay has the same bank account information for all three and I use direct pay. All Ebay cares about is separate email accounts for each one.
