I think almost all of you have eBay stores, and since I am new, I don't have one and I don't know the advantages to it over just offering regular auctions on eBay.

Could you all please share why having a store is better, etc.

Thanks so much,
~Wonderful

Stores may not make sense for everyone.

One of the great attractions of Stores, though, is that the listing fees are very, very low. And eBay is working on making Stores a better deal by including some Stores results in the regular search.

If you need a steady cash stream (and who doesn't) you won't want to rely on Stores for your sales.

If someone wants to buy multiple items through 'eBay" and you do not want to pay regular listing fees, you can list for a few cents in your eBay Store.

Also, there is a code you can put in a link to your item, which is supposed to save 50% in Final Value Fees. ( ?refid=store at end of link)

They have made some changes within about the last month or two which makes the store items a little more visible than they used to be, especially if there are not a lot of that item on eBay auctions.

Someone can easily search through all of your items if you have a store, where it may be a little more difficult to search a particular sellers items without a store.

I doubt most people that participate on this forum have stores, as you suggested.

As Fluffy so eloquently says, eBay Stores may not make sense for everyone. Take a look at benefits to you and see if it makes sense.

Neglus...you are supposted to save 50% FVF if a purchase is made using a link outside of Ebay. Through a web page, or I think even through an email link to your store.

some stores pay search engines to drive traffic to the store such as google or overture.

Thanks. Sounds like too many IF's to be worth the trouble.

My emails are eBay and Vendio generated. (EBay invoice and Vendio post-sale notifications). Has anyone figured out a way to get clickable links in those?
