Yes ... fill out this form:

http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MFWRequest

then email him and ask him to reply to the email that ebay will send him.

I know this is easier said than done, but you might want to just let it go. Good Lord, that's a very good record you have. . . and the bidder's comment negating the negative comment says it all.

But let us know if you can get it off your record, please!

How can a negative feedback be a mistake?
Maybe things have changed at eBay but a year or so ago when the positive and negative buttons were next to each other I clicked the negative and didn't realize it. When I sent my feedbacks it automatically came back to me to check and make sure that I wanted to leave that negative. Since I haven't left any lately I don't know if that function is there any more and if it is your buyer should have changed it then. Now the positive and negative buttons are away from each other so I think it would be difficult to mistake that. I know it's important to keep that feedback pristine and new buyers are oh so happy to change that for you. Good Luck in removing it.

classicrock: LOL!

harder: At your level, negs mean absolutely nothing, do not affect bids one way or another, especially since it has been explained as a mistake. Certainly, cosmetically you are no longer 100%, but the 77th Rule of Auction Disappointment clearly states that as soon as you get that one removed, someone else will give you a neg, just to be nasty.

Why bother? Water off the back of a duck...

Doesn't the neg disappear from the count when it's mutually withdrawn?

upriver - are the rules of auction disappointment similar to the rules of acquisition?

In record time the neg has been removed.I realize one neg would not effect my sales, but we have worked long and hard to keep a clean record and it's back.

Congratulations. I'm glad it was removed. I have 2 negs that were left by mistake a long time ago, and if it wasn't for those I'd be at 100% - still bothers me everytime I look at my feedback. I have 500 to go until I'm at 100% again, though, so that's something to look forward to (should happen in a couple of weeks if no one gives me a neg before then )

I think you are being needlessly obsessive, as a couple of posters have humorously pointed out. My doctor prescribes Celexa for me on a daily basis.

This negative gave you an opportunity to put a stand-out comment in your PERMANENT feedback record. You could have had the buyer do a nicely worded correction. And then your reply could be something along the lines of, '10% off shipping and handling if you mention this feedback'. It is called turning a negative into a positive, there is no such thing as bad PR. An added bonus to this approach would be the discovery of how seldom people look at feedback.

I enjoy watching people put limitations on themselves that are not in the rules in auctions, games, and the legal process - for key examples. I just chalk it up to their own level of obsessive compulsive behavior.

I could probably keep myself in beer money by finding similarly perfect sellers and taking a crap in their parade route. eBay does crap removal for twenty dollars? OK, I'll do it for five bottles of two buck chuckle.

People do look at feedback. I get comments often daily that they selected my auction because of the feedback rating.Again I realize one neg would not change that but IT'S NICE TO HAVE IT GONE.
