WOW...My AOL winning bidders on eBay, cannot accept any email from me now! Isn't that the pits!! It's not just any Ebay bidder, it is all of them that uses AOL. They get the WBN from Vendio and eBay, but I can not respond to them later or answer questions! Does anyone have any words of wisdom? I have contacted my server, and they tell me it's a "Global problem". In the meantime I am forwarding messages through HotMail...What a pain! Can some one talk some sense into AOL?? You should be able to contact them through "contact member" (button on their feedback page" - which ISP are you using? ( I have AOL and wonder if there are any buyers who can't contact ME)

Hi This might help if you add this bit of info in your Seller's payment instruction. I also have problems with Earthlink winners as well.

***PLEASE DO NOT USE EBAY CHECKOUT!!! I will send an invoice within the 3-day Ebay limit from the end of auction. If you do not hear from me within 72 hours, please contact us since it means my email did not reach you because of a spam blocker, especially AOL or EARTHLINK users.

Hope that this might help!

I use AOL and haven't had any trouble with buyer responses, but I don't use checkout. Maybe that is the glitch.

I have aol. It has spam filters. However, you can adjust the spam filters manually. I send all suspected spam to be held in a spam folder and then run through the subjects before deleting them. You can also turn the spam filters off. I do have a problem with my customers that have earthlink. I wonder if you change the wording of the subject line that would push it past the spam filter. Perhaps something like -- Hi [name] you won my auction ... Perhaps it will sound a little more personal and more apt to get past the filter.

This will not work unless the AOL user has set their e-mail to accept these e-mails. AOL considers all e-mail ebay related as spam. I have had a horrible time lately as well. Infact, it has become so bad, in my payment instructions I have written that all AOL and Earthlink bidders must add me to their acceptable e-mails because AOL considers all notices from ebay as spam.

I have AOL and receive all notices from Ebay. I never have a problem sending email to AOL bidders and I always have "Ebay" and the auction number in the header. I have never had an email from an AOL customer land in my spam folder. AOL will block an entire domain if they harbor major spammers, which is apparently what has happened in your case. There is no way in hell you are going to be able to contact an AOL member until your ISP dumps the spammers that AOL objects to. You will have to do the same thing I do when they block Earthlink, which is often. Send your Ebay related email to your AOL customers from a Yahoo email account and explain to the customer why you are using that account. BTW...Yahoo is now giving 100 mb free email storage space since the first of this week.

OTOH: a full 50% of my winners who have AO-SMELL do NOT receive my missives sent thru feeBay's SELLER MANAGER LITE!

I automatically just forward each a copy from my COMCAST.NET copy.

Also, HOTMAIL seems to be a PITA, but nowhere near as bad as AO-hell!
