Hope someone here knows a something about this problem...
When I go to print a shipping label from my PayPal account, the pop-up window hangs up and will not complete the loading. No label to print out!
I added the Microsoft (Windows 98) KB831167 fix to my computer yesterday, and my computer has since slowed down considerably PLUS this PayPal problem has occurred.
How do I delete this latest fix? Or is there a problem with PayPal today?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
And many thanks to all of you who have helped in the past...and who share so very much with us novices.

What helped me somewhat was clearing my cache before I printed a PayPal label. I know that sounds like voodoo. And be sure you're enabling pop-ups (don't know how to tell you to do that, though).
Also, someone here told me to go to my PayPal account, click on "history," click on the auction in question, go to the bottom, and there's a link to REPRINT your label. That works for me. Clunky, I know, and PayPal should solve this for us all. I was afraid to hit the "reprint" for fear I'd be charged twice for the postage, but that didn't happen. Good luck.

Oops. Forgot to say--when you find the auction in question, on your history page, click the details link, THEN go to the bottom and hit "reprint label."

Thanks, SuzyQ, for your response.
Unfortunately, the problem is not with my cache. That is emptied every night, and set very low (cache dumps when it reaches max).
I've run into that PayPal problem with "Reprint Label", too. I ALWAYS have to hit reprint in order to print those labels. I agree! Wish PayPal would fix THAT glitch!
My problem, I'm sure, is with that new Microsoft download 'for security purposes'. It has messed up MORE than just the label printing, so I'd really like to know how to remove the "fix" from my system.

I had a similar problem with the USPS site when they upgraded their site to allow for multiple labels to be printed as a batch. I contacted them and they stated to remove the program from my computer, reboot the computer then download it again. That was the end of my printing troubles.
The problem is the old download didn't recognize a certain file and would lock up trying to figure out what to do.

pat1959- I thought I was clearing my cache all the time until I went in their and looked and I found quite a few items dating 3 years ago that never got deleted. When you go into systems and then into disc cleanup do you click view files? If not next time you do that look in the temporary files and see if there are any left. I cleaned mine last week and cleaned up a whole bunch of disc space.

I had this problem when I had Win 98. I put in Win 2000 & have never had another problem with hang ups. I suggest you go to XP & won't have anymore hangups.

Slabholder! That was the info and inspiration I needed! Thanks so much!
I know how to add & remove programs but was afraid to start kicking Microsoft out; afraid I'd lose EVERYTHING! But, thanks to your encouragement and the info through komando tips, I'm functioning again and all is well! Even the silly glitches that were bugging me have disappeared!
What a savings! Thought I was going to have to take my computer into town and have my tech clean it out.
How can I ever thank all of you who are so helpful with your suggestions? The cleaned cache, spyware, Registry First Aid and so many other things that have kept my computer running smoothly for over two years now has been a true blessing! I KNEW I'd find an answer here for this particular problem!

Thanks, too, Sanmar for the XP suggestion. I'm way out in the country and here we have only dial-up. I tried XP when I first had this computer built for me, but it is too loaded and browsing was a very S-L-O-W process. Took it back to my tech and had it removed.
Love my 98! It is lean and faster, meets my needs and in over two years I have a long way to go before I use even HALF the space on the machine. If we ever get DSL or something faster than dial-up, I'll probably try it again.
