my husband is only slightly pc and ebay literate, but loves to sit an search for things once in awhile ... he was really ticked at ebay last nite ... he saw a nice antique table listed, that was going to end soon at 9.99 ....... it would have needed to been picked up, 6 or 7 hour drive away from here. ... he USED to be able to see a Search area ON the listings page where he could go look for more (large) items in a 'given area', so he could maybe buy a couple or a few large antiques and pick them up all at once. .... he could not find that option anywhere anymore.

And this happens also, too --- every time we sell a big antique, and arrange to deliver it out of state, we like to look through the antique furniture listings of that destination we are going to, so maybe deliver our antique down there, pick up more items (via ebay) and drive 'em back home. ... i just wrote to ebay about all this, and i told them that to us, the more ebay grows and implements changes, the more disconcerted we are with them {ebay}. ...

anyone agree? disagree?

This isn't really a new subject here at VD. Many of the posters here including myself often complain about ebay trying to fix something that clearly isn't broken only to screw it up. Then not fixing the true problems that they have. Usually it is the sellers area's that eBay goof's up, but now that they are messing with the bidders end, the bidders will start looking else where to purchase items like Yahoo. Ebay needs to realize that the bulk of their business is coming from people that are self taught computer users. That means these persons are looking for comfort zones to search the internet and when those comfort zones go away, so will many of their customers.
