I have been using ebay's Sales Manager in the past and I still subscribe to it, I have not cancelled it yet. But I have just sing up for Vendio Sales Manager to list my listings so that I can save nmoney on the final value fees. The listings that I have listed with Vendio and that have sold are still being charged a Final Value Fee by ebay. How do I stop ebay from charging me the final value fees?

The vendio service seems like it will save me money in the long run, but not if I am paying 2 Final Value Fees.
I have emailed Vendio 3 times now in the past 3 days and no one from Vendio customer support is emailing me back to answer my question.

Atleast ebay was very prompt in the customer support areas.

Does any one have any suggestions to correct this and any comments on using Vendio?

Thank you and Have a Great Day !!
Denise

Denise ... ebay still charges you your FVF, and Vendio charges a smidgen (depending on which vendio plan you signed up for) ...

but vendio is great (in my opinion) ... great unlimited image hosting, and unlimited number of photos in your listings ... and items of yours that don't sell first time around (or 2nd time around), vendio can park that for you for a few months and all that work you did, you can call 'em back up, tweak them a little if you want to, and relist in the late fall or winter ...

Ebay will charge you final value fees as well as Vendio. Yes you pay two sets of FVF, one to each service that you are using. I signed up for Vendio for the reason that I could use their templates and picture services together and save some $$ even with paying 2 FVF. I need several pictures with each of the items that I list, as well as being tired of paying for adjusting where my pictures are and what my background is on ebay. (I am not that good with HTML) So for me it has saved at least $20.00 per month using the plan that I got.

They are two different companies so you could hardly expect Ebay to give up their fvf if you use Vendio which does provide a lot of services which ebay does not.

You can save a lot of money by abandoning Vendio-type auction services and eBay's Sales Manager altogether.

None of these frills are needed to sell on eBay.

The highest volume sellers don't use them -- why should you?

You're hearing both sides of the fence here. I'm one of the Vendio users and love it. Well worth the extra charges, because I use lots of photos. I also find the big page on Vendio with all my current and past auctions extremely readable and usable.

I think a lot depends on whether you're a big-volume seller or one of us who list between 10 and 50 or so auctions a week. But you must do what makes sense to you. . . .

I am a mid-size seller and I use Vendio - I hate Ebay's crappy Selling Manager and Turbo-lister! I have unlimited image hosting, have access to all my unsold items for relisting (I have been faithful about keeping my images alive so I have images on unsold auctions 1 year old and more. I can post a bazillion images to an auction (did I mention I think ebay pictures stink?), schedule an auction to launch when I am at a movie, send notifications and feedback enmasse - all for $30/month plus 1.25% FVF ($62.50 on $5,000 sales)...just the scheduling alone would cost me 10 cents/listing for 1000 auction/month listings =$100 on eBay.

I think great pictures and optimum selling scheduling contribute to selling success. While the frills aren't NEEDED to sell on ebay, they sure can make one's life a lot more pleasant and save money in the long run if you opt for "frills" through ebay. I

Great explination Neglus.

If you don't use any of eBay services don't they charge you 30 cents an image when you list?

If so Vendio is a lot cheaper and even listing through Vendio sometines it is cheaper than eBay.

Wish we could pick who to pay the FVF to - Vendio or ebay.
I use Vendio and have alway enjoyed it but it looks like ebay is really trying to compete.
I just did some BIN with ebay - by passing Vendio all together. It wasn't too bad.
Does anyone just use the image files on Vendio? I don't care for ebay's images either.

You've got to be kidding, SW. Most of these people are too scared to use ftp.

If they don't have a Mommy Auction Service holding their hand, they're lost.

Oh come on, Fluffy/teacher. We don't need hand-holding; we've just chosen another way to do business, many of us.

Your mean streak is boring and spiteful. If you're so happy and successful, what makes you so negative and *So Right All the Time?* Get over yourself, please.

I did that for the first few years I was on ebay. It was a lot more work and if a item got too many hits my ISP limited my usage and my photos when away. Of course this is back when a good item would get hundreds of hits, but I would lose the photo the last day or so. I guess that would not be a problem now - plus I have 2 ISP's.
Maybe that's not a bad idea - what was that URL again??????????/
