Sellers: If you think that once you mail your buyers items at the post office, that it's "out of your hands", well, think again!!! eBay posted today, in its Announcements some very disturbing terms for ITEM NOT RECEIVED.

One has to wonder how many more sellers will quit accepting PayPal as a payment method because of this policy. With chargebacks being so easy to initiate, you can bet that sellers will simply drop PayPal because of how unsafe they have become for sellers. Ebay is clearly out of touch on this one. Maybe with any luck, overstock will get their act together and actually give ebay a run for their money.

Maybe with this new Check 21 sellers won't have to hold the merchandise for 7 - 10 days. I know that a check can clear now in 2 days. But then media mail can take up to 2 weeks to arrive and I surly wouldn't pay priority or parcel post for a book. I have figured out a way where I can use EDC on all my packages, but you neglus that is tough. Hard to eDC a post card. Who thinks up all this stuff. Makes you wonder where they went to school or if they have any business sense at all.

The operative words here are "May Clear" in 2 days. Not mandated and not all banks are following it yet. One that I deal with here still thinks that it is their money for at least 7 days!
