lol that two votes for bunny....everyone on eBay is calling it a puppy, dog or just nothing but a pendelfin. But no one will step out on a limb and say what it is. Is this really a bunny wearing a collar and dog tag ?

Hi all,

Sorta-kinda-maybe reminds me of the Pekingese dogs my Mom used to have. They didn't have blue eyes but their tongues stuck out all the time...

Hmmm....

Yes, I was just looking and they say it's a dog or they just avoid saying what it is.

Pendelfin makes the rabbits but maybe they tossed in a dog? It could be either, couldn't it?

It doesn't look like their other rabbits that I've seen and looks a bit more wooly or furry and has its ears down. Maybe it is a dog?

It's definitely NOT a cocker spaniel. In photo #1 without the ears, it looks vaguely Westie-ish, with the ears, vaguely Shih Tzu, but not enough like either to make a definitive declaration. I'd stick with the generic "dog" or "puppy" descriptions.

Okay, don't anybody laugh! Cockapoo (sp). Alright, quit laughing!! My neighbor had a dog a that was a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle and he was told that that is what they are called.

This site lists it and says it's a puppy and it's now retired. They show another dog also.

Naahhh... Kevin, a Cockapoo has a short little pointy muzzle and normal size eyes.

Pekingese have big buggy eyes and almost no muzzle. Matter of fact, the ones with a nose that's almost sunk down in their face are the best ones, breed-wise. Dopey little things they are, always sniffling.

Is that red thing its tongue and why is it in the back of the head??? Sorry toasted I have no idea!! My faithful perennial puppy is a SCHNOODLE named Doodle and he doesn't look a thing like that!

It looks like it may be a Shih Tzu puppy or a Japanese Chin.

It could be a cocker puppy. The tail is too long and the face is off, but sometimes these figurines are not true to breed specifics.

I would just list it as a spaniel puppy. Leave off the cocker part. That would cover a lot of ground and get hits from a lot of different dogs.

I think the closest match, breed-wise, is Pekingese but if the web-site calls it a puppy you might want to go with that.

That said, I was owned by a Chihuahua for many years and can definitely attest to their hamminess! Good little doglets, they are indeed.

Lest he be forgotten, here's BooBoo:

Could be a Maltese, which I call a dust mop, because friends of mine had one who would grab onto a dust mop & you could really dust the floor with her.

I thought Cocker when I first looked at it, but maybe it could just be a Terrier type. I know it's not a poodle. Here's my little poodle, Lily

Shitzus are black and white--Any of the Poos would cover you. Could be a lhasa apso too.

Shih Tzu's come in lots of different colors. Poo's will most likely have a pointed nose. Maltese, Lhasa Apso, Westie and Pekingese have short ears and longer hair. It is definitely not a terrier.

It has the head, ears and hair of a cocker, but not the tail. And it has the face of a pekingese or Japanese Chin.

I think it is just a generic puppy. Or a caricature of a cocker.

I'll throw in a guess here since I sell primarily Canine and Equine art. My best guess is an oriental dog. Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Big eyes with a pushed in nose is for sure an oriental dog.

Just for the hell of it I would suggest a few other keywords in your auction. A Petite Bassett Grifon Vendeen puppy, a Cocker Spaniel Puppy, A Bichon Frise Puppy. A Cockapoo. All of which might draw the right customer to your auction. Also just generic Dog or Puppy as some people just collect cute figurines and not a particular breed. Good luck
