In grandmas attic we have A Canadian long needle vinyl plastic Christmas tree with the box by American Tree and Wreath. it was from 1961 possibly 1971 by the date. Is this an imitation of one of those feather trees they are all talking about or what? It is plastic and shinny only it is green like the aluminum trees? Thanks for your help,

I searched feather tree so you could see what one looked like but I don't understand the term feather tree in some of the auctions.
Here is a feather tree.

If it is long needle and plastic it is probably the first version of the ones now.

It's a feather tree if it is actually made from real goose feathers, not plastic. The feather trees were usually made in Germany.

That does not look like a vintage feather tree to me.
I searched Feather christmas tress, this is what I found.
Feather Trees were first produced over 100 years ago! Now, The Feather Tree Co.® is renewing the art form of the Goosefeather Christmas Tree. Ours are the highest quality reproductions available today. All of our trees are handmade in Wisconsin and use real goose feathers

Also as cta mentioned:FEATHER TREES
Feather trees were first made in Germany over 100 years ago from real goosefeathers. Today's reproductions emulate the style and beauty of those feather trees

Feather trees are actually made from feathers.

This just sounds like an artificial tree maybe from the 60's.
