I was always dead set against any type of "handling" charge on top of the final price including S&H. But as sellers what the hell are we supposed to do here? Between the price of gasoline, the time to find boxes and packing stuff, and ebays newest fee increases, there is NO WAY to make as much you could just 2 years ago. It's almost not worth the effort.

Now it's time to add the $2 handling and materials fee....AKA....Ebay Fee Recovery System!

I've never understood what sellers have against andling fees. There really IS so much more involved in shipping than just postage.

You want to buy a product from me? Fine, come and pick it up. Oh you want it SHIPPED to you? Smebody's gotta pay for the extra labor invlved.

There is no reason to excessively gouge on handling, but a dollar or two isn't going to kill you or your buyers.

I closed my E-Bay store for now until I figure out how I'm going to re-coop some of the cost. I had my stuff to cheap to handle the price increase on the final value fee. It may be easier if I did just add a handling fee. I think I will stock different items when I re-open it though.
