Congratulations, Bizzy!!

Lots of hours put into it, I am sure!!

btw how many trans do you figure you have that dont leave fb? It's only fb that counts -right, not how many sales you've successfully completed?

edit to fix my spelling. (looked like a drunks mutterings & I havent popped the cork on anything yet! )

dbl -- I figure it's probably 1/3-1/2 don't leave feedback. But I don't look for feedback either.

yeah, me either bizzy. I think about half or at least a third sounds right. I never ask or beg for it or anything either...but I'd sure like to see my numbers go up, so been thinking about starting to at least drop a line about it?

Congrats Diane!I thought McJane would be along to give you your twirling star - she must be goofing off.

I stole her star so the credit goes to her and to you bizzy for all the hard work!

Good for you Diane - I know you must work really hard - I could believe all the questions I got when I listed my machine knitting stuff - so you must get it all the time.

dbl -- Don't ask for it. I learned a lesson the hard way by asking for feedback. I now keep it at "no news is good news".

Thank you so much everybody! Especially, Neglus for my twirling star! Now, I'm waiting for Tom and Ralphie to come along with the dancing bananas and clapping hands. (My daughter gets such a kick out of those dancing bananas.)

dblfugger--In my packing slip I ask the buyer to take a moment to leave feedback for the item so I'll know it arrived safely. By my calculations I get at least 75% feedback, maybe 80%, from my buyers. In my main seller account I still have no negs, and 1250 or so positives.

HOWEVER, I sell only collectibles and books. Those buyers may be more conscientious about things like feedback.

I've left 14,100 FB and received 12,330 - my FB returnd rate is more than 85%. I leave FB when I ship and include this note in my packing slip : "I have left positive feedback for you and hope you will do the same for me'. I always include the auction id # so it makes it easy for them.

Those buyers may be more conscientious about things like feedback.

roadsmith, i have tendency to think that's somewhat true.

But some people jump right into ebay and even at 20 or so pos received, never figure out what it's about. My husbands supervisor was interested in doing ebay as she does these gift basket things for hospitals etc, and was wanting to branch out to online sales. Anyway, she asked for some help in setting up as a seller account (refuse the hubby's supervisor?? lol!)- but i noticed she previously made two purchases and had gotten fb, but did not leave any. ? I dont think she 'got it' or figured out what that was, or gave thought that she was supposed to reciprocate it? (I never did ask her about it.)

I usually ask buyers to let me know the item has been received safely. I thought that a non-obvious way of saying please leave feedback if your satisfied...but then they send me an email!! LOL!!

As a buyer, I dont like being told to leave FB or emailed over and over for it.
