I received an NPB notice today from a seller under my buying ID. I checked MY EBAY page and this auction isn't listed on it. Because I purchase so much, I use the "pay all of your sellers at once" each time and pay everyone in one shot. This auction was never listed. I do remember buying it now though. Isn't that weird?
But get this ... The seller never even sent me an initial invoice nor did she send me a reminder or anything prior to filing NPB. I have close to 1,000 positive transactions and only one negative. (The one negative was retaliation because I left the seller a neg for sending me copies and she wouldn't refund.) I always pay within 2-3 days of the auction close. My feedback really does speak for itself.
I wrote to the seller and explained the situation and paid for it right away. I did let her know how I felt about her filing NPB without contacting me at all though. I hope she doesn't treat all of her customers like this!

bizzy, how many days after eoa was the npb filed? Do you still have to wait a certain amount to days before doing it? (I havent had one in a while. Just not selling/listing that much.) - Did they leave you a neg? Whats worse for a buying ID a neg or one strike?
I just recently purchased (and paid for) something and seller has never contacted me. No invoice, no recieved payment, nothing.... but I did pay it with the eoa notice and it was a PP only trans.
Well, I will be waiting to see if it just shows up, or it doesnt, or what. I dont think I appreciate this much as a buyer, but if I get the product I was promised I think it will alright.

dblfugger -- I purchased it on Feb 18th so today is the 10th day. I haven't received a neg and she should close out the NPB process now because I immediately paid her when I learned that it hadn't been paid. I didn't even know! I purchase things over a couple of days and then pay all of my sellers at once. This never showed up!
I'm not concerned about a neg. If she negs me, it's under my buying ID so I really don't care. But to not even ask why I hadn't paid, I just don't get it!

I do send out initial invoices, but I don't do follow up why haven't you paid email. I just don't have time for that. After 2 weeks, I file NPB, and if they missed the invoice or they forgot or whatever, then is the time for them to pay.

Bizzy...I am convinced that Ebay is having problems with their "My Ebay" pages again.
The other day I lost all of the items that I was watching as a bidder and today they showed up as "ended" so it really didn't do me alot of good to mark them.
I used BIN on my bidding ID to purchase an item day before yesterday and it still hasn't shown up on the "My Ebay" page even though I have paid for it and the seller has sent it out.
It does show when I use the search for Bidder's completed auctions. I went to Ebay's Advanced Search-->Items by Bidder--->enter your Bidder's User ID and include completed auctions.
As I've said before, I think Ebay needs to worry more about their auction business instead of their treasure hunts and other gimmicks.

I have found missing items on My Ebay page before too. I wrote ebay and the missing items suddenly appear? I think they know they have a problem but don't want to address it.
Diane
As for her not emailing you before filing - some sellers/buyers don't ever want to have contact with the other person. I don't think it's a very good way to do business.

Glassgrl beat me to the punch. AOL.
Sorry bizzy, but you didn't get any notice from the seller excuse doesn't hold water. It simply doesn't make any business sense to not send any notice at all. With all of the trouble that AOL is causing sellers by blocking legite e-mails, that is clearly the problem with this one. I have two or three a week that don't follow instructions and they don't add my e-mail address to their acceptable e-mail address list and sure enough, they always e-mail with that you haven't e-mailed me bullcrap. You should have e-mailed from a reliable e-mail address. I will give odds that your seller contacts you stating that they have replied every time to you, but AOL is blocking them.
When will people pull their collective heads out of their butts and dump AOL?

Stone -- I have my spam filter turned off. I receive all of my e-mails, spam included. The problem wasn't with AOL. The problem was with Ebay. For some reason, this auction wasn't even on MY EBAY list. I know that some sellers have problems with AOL, but it is usually due to an inexperienced user. I have had alot of trouble with Earthlink, again due to inexperienced users. The problem doesn't lie with any one ISP, it lies with users that either don't know or don't care that they have their spam filters running. I have had numerous headaches with Earthlink and even couldn't send e-mails from Ebay.

I once had a late payer tell me she had no record of bidding on my auction. At the time I didn't believe her - but maybe it just wasn't on her "my ebay page".
As for your seller - I really don't understand why they wouldn't send an invoice. I send reminders, but in theory I don't have a problem with sellers who don't. Especially if it's a high volume seller. I could see someone just trying to stream line their operation and considering the NPB notice the reminder.

I don't send ebay invoices unless the winner request it. I use the WBN from Vendio.
I, too, have had items missing from My Ebay - this is a real problem sometimes.

Hi
I don't send out email reminders because ebay sends the buyer an email saying they won. ............And Paypal sends the buyer an email saying they won........When you have your shipping listed in the auction why would you need to send the buyer another email saying they won? I think two is plenty.
I also file on the 10th day, and that could be called an Ebay reminder.lol
I send emails saying I received payment and I send emails when the item is shipped, I don't have time to remind them that they won an aution.
About AOL emails...........the problem is with the people changing the settings and thinking they are doing it right. I never missed an email and all my emails get where they are going, I'm with AOL for 9 years and not once did I have a problem with emails.
