File an Unpaid Item Dispute (UID) after seven days. Then after another 7 (I can't remember if it's 7 or 8, but when you check your disputes the check mark will be green), close the dispute to get your fees back. That's about all you can do. Oh, and BLOCK her.

That's about all you can do. I've had a rash of them lately. Seeing that she was a nervous Nellie right from the start, I would have had her call me. She could have pulled your information directly from eBay (giving her piece of mind that she's actually calling her seller) and done the transaction over the phone rather than through email or online. Of course, this only works if you are using your own merchant account and not PayPal.

What do you have listed for your terms of service? Did you list the types of payments you will accept or not accept? If this buyer is located in the US, why not accept a money order or cashier's check? Just a thought

Please buy a dictionary, use spell checker and capitalize the word "I". Maybe if people could read your messages without a headache you would get a better response.

jtomp, you do sound a bit grumpy, but I have to admit that I understand your feeling on this. Not everyone is naturally a good speller, and typos happen, but I have to admit that I usually consider spelling/grammar/clarity a reflection of the writer's self-respect and respect for my time (or lack thereof).

They tell me that the internet has done away with proof-reading.

I must spend 25% of my email-reading time wondering "WTF is it you are asking?"

tomwii, that's "king poop"

not King Poop.

spell it right.

actually, i have arthritic finger joints, not extreme, but enough that i have daily pain, and i spell gramatically correctly on my ebay listings, but when i come here to this board, it is either to give input or post a question, and i just feel like giving my pinkie fingers a rest. .... it is better than ALL CAPS, i'm figurin', eh?

make love, not war.

I just don't get it. This is a message board not a spelling/grammatical bee. I mean really ... Get a grip!

Hey, I didn't tell you all to "eat **** and die," I just said that I draw inferences from a person's postings here. I'm sure that you all do the same, but perhaps on different criteria.

bizzycrocheting, I believe that I have a grip, but thanks for mentioning it

Magic- I think most of us thought cblev anwered your question in the first response and so did not chime in...and then the thread took an off-track turn (probably because there were no other "hot topics" posted) - don't take it personally. Sorry this happened to you and yes, I think some people buy for fun.

I'm a great speller and poor typist and always in a hurry. I never use spell check and didn't think I had to apologize to EO members for my transgressions! I'm with you, Jack, about the caps ...SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier!

Magick,

I'm with neglus on this. If you don't feel that Cheryl provided a sufficient reply, please ask for some followup.

I wasn't going after your spelling, or anyone else's for that matter. I just wanted to sympathize with jtomp, who was feeling grumpy and whose headache was made worse by the uncapitalized "i" in your posting.

Sorry we hijacked your thread; it's been slow here lately

Just like Cheryl, Neglus and Cash stated, File your NPB, FVF and move on. Always be polite with your potential deadbeat though. Who knows, they might actually follow through on the transaction. I get many of those who state to forget the auction to pay just by being polite and professional.

Good luck either way,
SC

Thanks for the reply all
I have filed and she paid her bill the next day.
I was kind of new to this so the guidance was appreciated, thanks for walking me through the process, as you can see my spelling is a little better lol , I had bought a new key board and mouse combo, those new logiteque 200 dollar jobbies where the keys are all flat, took a while to get used to, have to be really careful as to what key you hit beacuse you can hit 2 or 3 at the same time, thank god for the listing spell checker with vendio .As i am also french and my english Grammer is not exellent (yet).
Anyway Blessings all and NO hard feeling harboured , looking forward to future forums.

Blessings Magic
