I leave for the first of my two business trips on Wednesday. I will be gone until Monday night. I have no idea if I will have internet access at the hotel I'm staying at (and the thought of no eBay anything for 5 days panics the crap out of me).

In the past 3 days I've gotten FIVE Pending e check payments through PayPal. None are set to clear until the end of this week when I will be in Kentucky.

I've stated in quite a few of my auctions that I will be away until June 6th and all items that were paid for while I'm gone will be shipped when I return home.

Do I send the pending items NOW or when I return home? One is for a large amount of money (almost $50) so I won't send that until I come home but the others are all $10. I never ship until I get that email that says the payment has cleared but those will all happen while I'm away.

Thoughts anyone?

And Glassgrl, just so you know I'm not ignoring you I STILL have not had time to listen to the tapes you've sent me! I don't want you to think I'm just ignoring you!

Send them after you get back.
I have had echecks that were supposed to clear a certain date and did not. In one instance I had to wait a month for it to clear. Paypal wrote me on the expected clearing date ( on 2 seperate occasions, same buyer, same check) to inform me that the pending clearing date had been "delayed".
I wouldn't so it, especially when you have already covered yourself on the shipping dates

If you have time during a day the local libraries usually have internet access. I think if there is a Kinkos in the area they also have internet access. Just check the yellow pages when you get there and see if there is any information about internet access.

Thanks Libra

I was going to check and see if there was some sort of internet cafe thing or something but Kinko's is everywhere and I'm sure Louisville has a library somewhere. The Kinko's thing will probably be a better shot since the seminars I have to attend are like...15 hours long every day. It's not so much me wanting to check auctions as I usually run only Buy It Now's but if I have questions to answer, invoices to send, etc I want to be able to do that.

A lot of hotels now have a computer in the lobby for the guests to use but the hotel I'm staying at seems to be confused about what I'm asking for when I ask them that! IT's a new Mariott just opened in March so I would think they would be up with the times. Internet access in the hotel room doesn't do me any good as I have no laptop or anything.

So hopefully that will work.

I have the items that are "pending" ready to ship so I will just ship them when I return home I guess. I've never had so many pending payments at one time, ever. At least I'll have some money clearing my account while I'm there!

The Marriot has high speed internet and a business center. The question to ask them would be do they have a computer available for use in the business center or do you need to bring your own.

There is a kinkos 2 blocks north of the hotel. The mapquest map show driving directions because of all the one way streets downtown.

The library is also downtown. They do have internet access in there but you have to wait your turn. (It's about 3/4 of a mile straight south of the hotel.)

The Kinkos always seemed to have a computer available.

We were just there for a convention last November.
